Yeah while I like Orton, the guy seriously has trouble throwing the long ball. Hey, didn't The Broncos go like 6-0 last year only to finish the year 7-9? In other words, don't get too excited over there in Denver.

Cutler>Orton, no question.

and if he wasnt so dazed and concussed, I'm sure he would have made much better decisions Sunday night throwing the football.

It will be interesting to see if The Bears look to free agents available or try to negotiate a trade for capable O-linemen to salvage this season.

you guys DID draft columbo. oh, wait...

We got 'em at the end of the season, in Lambeau, prolly with home-field thru-out the playoffs in our grasp.

We'll settle all the family business, then.

I heard Cris Carter on the radio today (mis)pronouncing Favre's name like it's spelled. He mispronounced a bunch of other shit too and come to think of it may have been drunk.

Everytime Jake Delhomme gets off the ground he looks 80 years old.

Colt McCoy must really suck.

Falcons can never do anything easy.

Still feeling confident Montague? You lost to a very mediocre Redskins team today and many more of your important players are now out with injuries.

Aaron Rodgers suffered a concussion during overtime against the Redskins, headlining a long list of Packers injuries. Besides Rodgers, TE Jermichael Finley (knee), DE Ryan Pickett (ankle), TE Donald Lee (shoulder), S Derrick Martin (sprained knee) and OLB Clay Matthews (left hamstring cramp) were all sidelined. The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported Finley will have further testing on Monday. Pickett said X-rays on his ankle were negative, reports Greg. A. Bedard.

Ndamukong Suh had a 20yd INT return in the Lions 44-6 beat down of the Rams.
It would have been nice if the first win had actually come in the season opener against the Bears, but at least they are no longer winless.

Funny thing is, before the season, I flipped thru Steve Hyden's preview of the Packers season at the AVClub-Milwaukee page of the ONION, & seeing him pick the winning side for all 16 games, I decided to try my hand at same. Whereas he had them losing to the Eagles, Jets, & Vikings, though, I marked L for Redskins, Vikings, & Patriots. I pretty much expected Shanahan to have the Pack's number, then.

I was not expecting to lose that game, and I'll admit things are looking bleak for the Packers, but I'm not jumping off a bridge just yet. The return of Harris and Bigby can't come soon enough. I've only seen a little bit about the injuries, but hopefully Matthews and Rogers don't miss any time. Finely is a big loss, but we can overcome that I think. If Matthews plays the rest of that game, I don't think they lose...he's that much of a difference maker, we need him on the field.

Yes, injuries are the only reason the packers are struggling. Finley is a huge loss though - if he can't come back soon, we'll be back to last year's hurry-the-pass or scramble-and-sack offense.

Clay Matthews will be back this week, i hope... it looked like he could have gone back in this Sunday. I almost mentally accused him of being a pussy, before reminding myself that he could tear my head off and throw my body into the Fox river, one legged or not.

Hey, sometimes you win games with a strong defense and running the ball. Just ask Trent Dilfer.

Also, LOL @ Minnesota tonight. Favre throws for 3 TD's in last 20 minutes of playing time, then could easily have won the game with another march downfield and just a field goal but instead forces a throw that is intercepted and is run back for a touchdown. Where have I seen that before?
