showed Priest in the backyard. Stupid, but not a COMPLETE waste of time. maybe 30% entertainment.

This is one powerful movie.

This is easily in my top three worst movies ever made. It was so unbelievably bad. I can say with full confidence that there was/is not one single redeeming quality about this film. The stock should be burned and all digital copies should be promptly placed inside of a microwave.

You clearly haven't seen anything involving Martin Lawrence in the last decade.

I should have qualified the statement with a: "that I've seen".

I like that Vacation and Peewee are on there.

I saw this last night. Was pretty funny, but really too long. Why was the Irish cop in the movie so much? There were definite negatives, but the fact that Tim Heidecker was "Dougie" and my booking client had the end-credits song (not Wilson Phillips) pretty much erased them for me.

it wasn't THAT bad, more disappointing than anything else. it's like when they got to the midpoint of making the movie, they realized that it just wasn't working out and decided to wrap it up in any way possible. Compare that to Drive Angry Shot In 3d, where they clearly came to the middle and realized that they had a chance to make, if not a great movie, something truly special nonetheless.

Maybe I'm really out of touch, but honestly, how can one go into "Priest" thinking its going to be anything close to decent? I mean, I would think it would be nothing but positive thoughts afterwards if it was halfway worthwhile entertainment.

That, and I get why people go to the movies--but at $10/ticket+rapid turnaround time to DVD its getting to the point that I'm super choosy over what I will plunk down for.

exactly. I showed it in my backyard using a projector on top of my grill and a screen I hung from the gutters, and it was a great choice for those environs. Hanna almost got the nod though.

i'll usually pay for something i really want to see (thor) and then sneak into something i'm sort of interested in (fast five).

Most are comparing it to Run, Lola, Run, though I see the film as an extension of The Soloist, except Jaime Foxx's character has morphed from a schizophrenic cellist to adolescent killing-machine.
