He can prove it after 12 straight. LOL

This pretty much just sealed the series win for the Cardinals.

St. Louis, congratulations on your upcoming World Series title.

Am I the only person on here who remotely likes the Cardinals? It might have something to do with me being a passive baseball fan with a childhood connection to the Cards, but I don't really get the hate. La Russa might be an old school d-bag who micromanages his team, but he's a proven winner and you can't really blame a team full of power hitters for getting hot late in the season.
I sort of wanted to see the Brew crew take the series, but couldn't get past that Beast mode nonsense and Tony Plush. I hope it is a good series, and will have no qualms with the Rangers winning the title. They are long due, and under good ownership now.

All Giants fans hate LaRussa. It's your right.

He's actually not a bad guy. In the off-season he works out at my gym in Nor-Cal where he lives. Strangely enough, he's a lot bigger in person.

The only thing I like about the Rangers is Ron Washington.

I'm a huge Cardinals fan, but I totally understand the hatred for Tony. Dude is a whiner when it comes to the media, but I really think it's his way of playing mind games with the opposing team. I think I can speak for all of the Cardinal fans when I say we can't wait for him to retire.

I have to come to Molina's defense here a bit, though. Brandon Phillips is an asshole who started talking shit about the Cardinals in the media and then attempted to give Molina a friendly "how do you do" tap with his bat. Molina was pissed he did that and told him to fuck himself. A fight ensued and Cueto showed the baseball world he's a bitch.

Phillips isn't an asshole for talking shit in the media. He's an asshole for being two-faced.

Also, I think that hand gesture is Molina's attempt to signal to his teammates "drive me in." It's stupid.

(Cardinals in 7?) :P

LaRussa = Whiner who should know better
Phillips = Looking for attention with is big mouth, but there are plenty of guys out there who are much worse
Molina = Ass Clown.
Cueto = Pulled a pretty shitty move, but I think he just got caught up in the moment.

I really hate the Cardinals, and LaRussa, but as a Phillies fan I'm hoping they win the series so that at least the Phils got beat by WS champs, and not some dumb-shuttlefuck wild card team wearing pants too big for their ass.

Molina's neck tattoos should really help him land a TV gig after his knees give out.

You know FT, I was thinking the other night, what do you really have to bitch about?

In your lifetime, Notre Dame has 3 titles, Cowboys have 5, Stars have 1, and the Spurs have 4.

To an Atlanta fan, that's an embarassment of riches.

I think I hate you.

That game last night was pretty great - if you like to see a guy in full control on the mound. Good sinkerball pitchers fascinate me. He had like 4 strike outs, 2 walks, and 8 1/3 scoreless.

How old is The Dutch Oven? That mustache was kind of creepy, but when he was hitting 96 on the gun in the 8th, I felt a little tingle in my pants.

Jesus, HTOD. Holland went 16-5 with a 3.95 ERA; boasted a league-leading 4 shootouts, as well. Even advanced metrics put him above average -- ERA+ 113, just under 2.5 k to bb.

What gives?

He really got his shit together the last two months of the season, but before that (including last year's World Series) and then during this year's playoffs (until Sunday night), he was horribly inconsistent. If I get some time this afternoon, I'll pull a few of his more egregious lines...

LaRussa... ha, ha ha!!!

The past two nights have been great for LaRussa haters (yes, me included). I really like how the "Genius" will take no responsibility whatsoever for HIS mistakes. Now finish them off, Rangers!!!
