And that ain't sayin' much, IMO.

I did see Forgetting Sarah Marshall and laughed thoroughly. Quite the entertaining movie, and the fella in the lead, can't remember his name, delivers his lines really well. Plus, I could stare at Mila Kunis on the big screen for much more than 2 hours.

yeah, it's just pretty much awful. i'd probably go so far as to say it's maybe the worst bond film.

We just came back from seeing this, oh my god was it fucking hilarious. Everyone in this was great, I'm sorry but I wasn't a big fan of Knocked Up and liked 40 Yr old Virgin but never got super worked up over it. Superbad however was pretty damn funny.

But this one just kicked the asses of all of the above. The whole theater was cracking up the whole time and it was pretty damn full for a matinee showing.

Oh agree about Mila Kunis, she just grew up to be incredibly gorgeous.

Jason Segel(Peter) is one of the leads on How I met your Mother and he's awesome. Plus he wrote the film.

THE FORBIDDEN KINGDOM

Jackie Chan and Jet Li! I really liked it, but don't go in thinking this is some CTHD or Flying Daggers or something like that. it's a fun adventure movie with some Karate Kid thrown in there.

Watched Fracture last night with Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling. It was about as lame as I expected it would be. Watched as I was going to sleep on HBO.

Seriously, I just finished watching and while it wasn't terrible, it shouldn't even be in the same sentence as No Country for Old Men or There Will Be Blood.

peeping tom - i really liked this. it was kind of corny at times and it's hard to see how it ruined the director's career but i thought it was a great film.

By today's standards it's pretty tame, but for 1960 it's some crazy shit. I mean shit, a movie about a guy who films women as they watch themselves be murdered? It's a miracle it was even made.

i saw this tonight. it was pretty funny but it could've gotten to the conclusion of "oh hey jason segel and mila kunis are gonna end up together" a half hour earlier.

russell brand was fucking hilarious though.

French uber-cool crime story, Melville is a genuis.

Pretty interesting flick, but I don't know about this one, Dustin Hoffman really bothers me, and the rape scene was really tough to watch. Lots of well shot scenes, but I'm gonna hold off judgement as I just saw it last night.

Fucked up movie. Peckinpaw always considered Hoffman's character to be the villian in the story if that helps with the Hoffman problem.

My Kid Could Paint That

A documentary about a 4 year old who paints abstract art. Starts out as a discussion of what is modern art. Moves on to the way the media's attention to a story can shape the story and actually become the story. Ends on a good discussion of how elusive the truth is.

Yes, but I have now come to the conclusion that I have to be okay with graphic male nudity if I go see a movie that involves Apatow on any level. It's something I have prepared myself for. haha

Speaking of ultra-violent -- does anyone know of any Lee Marvin/James Coburn -era war movies that were completely over-the-top? The only thing I definitely remember is that there was scene after scene of guys getting shot up by machine-gun fire in slow motion with exaggerated gouts of blood with each shot. I mean the budget on squibs alone must have been higher than most of the crew's individual salaries.

i'm watching this now. the back and forth between coburn and schell is great and david warner's character is kinda fun.

also, GORE GALORE!

i can't believe i haven't seen straw dogs yet.
