I was glad to download it, and I'll listen to it again for sure, but probably only once more.

I first saw the Aziz Ansari special on the uncensored Comedy Central airing. He does shout a bit but he's pretty energetic in general, jumping around and dancing for a lot of his bits.

yeah, this is pretty much true...but he is pretty young, it takes time for stand up's to find a voice. I think he's a really funny guy but he needs to work on his delivery.

I don't need to listen to one second to know that that guy isn't funny. Truly a case of the cover telling the story.

The only thing preventing me from downloading this album is that second artist.

seabear - we built a fire (2010)
Image

Quote:
Icelandic 7-piece Seabear has announced the release of their anticipated sophomore album, We Built a Fire, in March 2010 on Morr Music. The band will be making their US touring debut behind the album’s release, as well as performing several shows and parties at this year’s SXSW.

Defying its humble beginnings as the lo-fi solo project of Icelandic singer/multi-instrumentalist Sindri Már Sigfússon, Seabear has morphed into a rambling experimental/indie/folk septet. Sigfússon (also known as Sin Fang Bous – dubbed the “Icelandic Beck” by David Fricke of Rolling Stone on his recent US tour with Múm) was joined by the rest of the band for the making of We Built A Fire, the followup to their debut, 2007’s The Ghost That Carried Us Away.

There's some kind of prog or overwrought rock opera influence here. I don't know that I will listen to it enough to grasp the overarching themes, though. Not bad, just not grab you by the ears good either.

Not bad. Not bad. A few hooks, but some clunkers too. I'll give it more listens.

I'm feeling it. Not sure if it will hold up, but on one listen it hit the spot.

Definitely agree on the vocals being BE-ish.
