I still can't figure out why we didn't run the ball 4 times with a 1st and goal from the 7.

Also, that Gresham TD being recalled is bullshit because he had possession of the ball with 2 feet down when he broke the goal line. Also the ground cause a fumble. Either way, the Bengals O-Line blew it hard on that last series.

Oh well, Dalton is fun to watch. I think we finally have a keeper.

It's also nice to see Carson Palmer have some success.

Please, refer to it by its name--the HarBowl.

Admittedly, its a horrible rule. Buuuuut, if you guys get that then I want a call on Smith's hair being used to take him down. Without that, he would've had another TD.

So we can call it even :)

Thanksgiving slate is impressive: open with 10-0 Packers in Detroit (Lions 8-2, & looking to concuss Rodgers once again; seriously, I put nothing past Fairley & Suh, & van den Bosch, let's not forget (looks straight out of some Neo-Nazi group)), move on to the hottest team in AFC Dolphins attempting to spoil the Romo Redemption, then close with the intensity-pissing Harbaugh boys settling things on the field like when they were young.

Picks: Packers 37, Lions 27; Dolphins 15, Cowboys 10; Ravens 28, 49ers 24.

Turkey legs to: Randall Cobb, Reggie Bush, Joe Flacco.

Obviously. Obviously. SuperBOBra.

(Seriously: you need to find the Deadspin commenter ChupaBOBra -- s/he's in the Metroplex, so proximal to you -- & combine your Wonder Twin powers.)

Also: I never gave you an hat-tip on your "Stone Temple Autopilot" gag in the random thread. But you deserved one. Fist-bump, broseph.

The hair is an extension of the uniform. He cuts the hair, he doesn't get tackled. There was also a pretty good horse collar on Dalton that they got away with. The Bengals seemed to do well, except when they tried the trick "option" type plays. Oh well, none of us expected them to even be decent, so this is a nice surprise.

I also like our rematch chances against Pitt and Balt.

How do you post without mentioning the loss of Cutler?

I genuinely appreciate that, Monty - I was bummed that nobody seemed to like that one, which I thought was better than most of the pap I toss out there.

Broncos committed to Tebow, or will they be in the Peyton Manning Sweepstakes?

Listening to Elway, they're the opposite of commited to Tebow.

But they're out of it in the Luck Sweepstakes -- unless he takes an Aaron Rodgers/Brady Quinn like draft day tumble -- & I cannot see a Stanford guy (Elway) going for an 'SC guy (Barkley) as a consolation prize. So, your 2012 Denver Broncos starting QB Matt Flynn?

You're a Bayou rooter, so I'm sure you see the good in that.

They could always draft RG3.

He might be gone by the time they draft. Luck, Barkley, Griffin could well be this year's Manning, Rivers, Roethlisberger or Young, Leinart, Cutler. (By draft position, not necessarily success in the League -- or lack thereof.)

(But, speaking of success in the League, where were the people to make the Tebovian argument "he just knows how to win" when VY was battling Jeff Fisher in Tennessee? Isn't VY's career record 31-17, which is better even than previous "not so talented, but he just wins QB", Kyle Orton (career mark: 33-33)?)

Is it possible for a player like Andrew Luck (random example) to not make himself eligible for the draft and then become a walk-on for any team he wants?

Edit: I realize it would not be in his best financial interest since he loses the competitive bid market and signing bonuses, etc, but there could be some non-written agreement/ incentives that a team could offer, no?
