So what's with all the Fox broadcasts lately pronouncing "thanks to the troops for protecting America, the greatest country on earth" lately?

I'm fine with recognizing the troops, but this "greatest country on earth" bit is over the top, not to mention unnecessary for a league that's trying to reach a larger international audience.

They've been doing it for a while (a few years) but my best guess is because they simulcast on AFN and want to give a shout out to that portion of the audience.. And they're Fox.

The Cowboys should probably sign that runaway cart.

Tom Brady just lost his mind when the Pats scored their first TD. Someone's upset because he's not getting enough attention.

Close to, if not THE, best team in football over the past seven weeks. Would be riding a seven-game win streak, if not for that loss to the Redskins after Thanksgiving.

Their last three wins have been 38-14, 30-13, and 31-14. That's an average margin of victory that's just under 20 points.

I think they'll win out. They're D is playing great, Lynch has been a beast and Jackson is playing just good enough. Sadly that Redskin's loss (as well as that craptastic 6-3 loss to the Browns) will probably cost them a playoff birth.

We need to beat SF in Seattle and win @ AZ and have Detroit lose 2 of 3 @ Oak, SD and @ GB. Not impossible.

I'd love for them to beat SF.

Well, this bed-shitting by the Raiders isn't helping Seattle's chances much.

Would definitely be the best tackler on their roster.

Brady annoys me more than Tebow. I take no joy in Denver's return to normal.

They're both BROS, but I'll take Brady over Tebow any day, & twice on Sunday.

Also, UGGS > Crocs > Tebow.

Well, at least we don't have to endure Mercury Morris's bullshit over the next few weeks.

Pack took a hit on the O-line today (which has been one of the best all year). Could be huge. I'd still say they're the favorite but only a HAIR at this point over the goddamn Saints who are en fuego right now. Blech.

Brees is having the most overlooked season of all time. Can't wait to beat him next week.

Gonna be a great finish to the regular season it looks like.

Also, NFC East WTF?? The fucking EAGLES are still in the hunt to WIN the division at this point.

Ravens absolutely pathetic tonight. Cannot believe we are so horrible on the road. Gonna be rooting for the 49ers tomorrow night for sure.

T-Sizzle was an absolute non-factor, and our pass coverage apparently didn't board the plane for SD.

Hit a team when they were hot--at home no less. Not fun. With a win tonight we would've been set up really nice for the playoffs.

The Bills went 9-7 over the second half of last year/first half of this year. So we have that going for us, which is nice.

I love the NFL but this day should belong to college football.

Makes today feel like any other Sunday.
