The meat to sandwich ratio seems disproportionately meaty
And the burger is too thick and round which is due to preparation
Otherwise looks like a tasty combo
But if it tastes good who gives a shit, right?

i'm a little leery of this one because i can't really picture myself liking the taste of pickled red onions, and the only cheese that has ever made me puke has been blue/bleu.

that said, i'm looking forward to making some of its simple yet fancy sounding accoutrements, e.g. balsamic mayo, pickled onions.

That one looks kind of gross. I've just read through this thread and I will have to make burgers soon. The Miss Daisy looks amazing.

I actually think the Big Ben looks like the best one so far. Basically, if you put blue cheese and bacon on a burger I'm guaranteed to like it.

Blue tastes way different when it's melted, it gets mellower. Same with Gruyere.

Blue cheese = America
Feta = Foreign

But seriously, I just think blue cheese and ground beef compliment each other really well. I always feel sick and like my pants are going to pop after eating blue cheese burgers but it's totally worth it.

Quoted for truth.

Pickled things in general I'm pretty on board with. Should make for a different kick in the overall flavor of the burger. (read: delicious)

How are they telling you to pickle them? I would recommend basically doing it cold in white vinegar and salt/sugar. You just have to let it sit A LOT LONGER than they tell you to. The heat adds and element I don't really enjoy.

i had to look up a recipe for pickled onions, and it said to use red wine vinegar and salt for an hour.

the hour seemed like bullshit, so femtoots and i put some together in the fridge about 2 hours ago

Are you making the burgers tomorrow or Wednesday?
