The dozen installments of "Trapped in a Closet" by R. Kelly have to be right up there...even more so if you consider them all as part of one continuous song.

Also, that new Black Eyed Peas song "My Hump" or whatever it's called is absolutely terrible.

As I've said before, Offspring's "Come Out and Play"
I will add to the list:

Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart"
Anything Meatloaf ever did (but he didn't do that)

Is that the same as that "Get a Job" song to the tune of Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da? That is near the top of my list for worst song ever.

Nope. His intelligence aside, Dexter Holland has one of the most annoying voices ever. It's the one that has the little "You gotta keep 'em separated" bit in the chorus.

??? Not familiar with this song, and I've got just about everything he's ever done? You thinking of someone else?

I'm gonna guess he's thinking of Stan Ridgway, in which case he's wrong.

This is very interesting. While alot of these songs are ridiculously bad, a good deal of them I could enjoy while drunk ("We Built This City"? I'd tear that shit to pieces).

So, I had to think of a song that I couldn't even like while drunk. A song so bad that it would give me the shivers that someone would even attempt to pass it off as legitimate music.

And after careful consideration (of Ashlee Simpson's catalog and any third-rate Britney Spears clone produced in the past 7 years), the result was this:

I defy any of you to take one listen to that song and not want to throw what ever radio, mp3 or CD player that was spewing that nonsense into a fucking wall. Don't make me post the lyrics.

Concur on Macarena..it's not even a song. Horrible, and i LIKE a lot of the early 90s novelty hits (but not Who Let The Dogs Out, another one that's not even a real song)

How about...

Journey - Open Arms it's easy to make fun and they did sort of adopt a sick child (I saw Behind The Music) but, come on, that vocal on the chorus! [for me, this band falls into that category of what everybody was annoyingly into at your high school but they were also into REO Speedwagon and i kinda like High Infidelity so you can't just blame that factor. ]

Britney Speers - Lucky I'm not a Brit basher but there's just something clumsy about this musically to go along with he cliched lyrics. You think she's so lucky...but she's really not! Omigod! is it autobiographical? I take it this one wasn't a Max Martin song.

I kinda like a lot of truly awful songs. The amuse me on a certain level, especially those my less serious or novelty artists.

My pick for worst song ever has to be 'Maxwell's Silver Hammer' - painful beyond belief.
