Well they would suck ass because there would only be 5 players on the team, the East has gotten better this year, but 2 years ago this lineup:

Tyson Chandler
Michael Sweetney
Luol Deng
Tim Thomas
Ben Gordon

would have a good shot at a 6-8 seed

I thought the comparison was that the Braves and Spurs championships both have asterisks next to them. But the Spurs have taken care of that problem by winning again.
