after further listening, and 2 bike rides, i've come to the conclusion that this album kicks ass.

they've stepped it up. the songs are stronger, the songwriting more detailed, and the production is heavier and more powerful. julian's voice is less distorted, and the tracks benefit from it. and this album is just chock fulla riffs. i can't wait to hear these tunes live.

they did an outstanding job.

You know Dalen after listening to the stuff you post for us, am I right in guessing that you do really enjoy your riffs? That seems to be a common thread in the music that I've heard from you. Or am I being shallow?

I did really enjoy the album. Going to burn it an dlisten some more while I have windshield time.

in rock music, indie, metal, etc....yeah, it's all about riffs for me. vocals and lyrics don't even matter sometimes, and the tune can be dead simple...but if it's slaying with riffs, i'm on it.

This grabbed me by the collar ala Lyndon Johnson, and said "SON, THIS IS THE ALBUM OF THE YEAR"

There's not a weak song on here, but if I had to pick a 'least favorite,' I'd go with Juicebox, which still SLAYS.

Dalen is right in saying that they have stepped it up, and I really like the fact that Julian's vox are more upward in the mix.

The slower song "Ask Me Anything," maye be my favorite track, and I annoyed FEMGAR all weekend by moaning "I've got nooothiiing to saaaaay" over and over.

This is what I have needed all year. All other applicants need not apply.
