Are we important enough to do a "Best of the 00's so far"? Using the charts like we did with the Shmoo Poll, how hard would this be? Maybe just a Top 10.

i reckon that would be an awesome idea. Enough time has passed for most of the records to sink in rather than their hype still swaying us.

I'm not sure if anything will really top Kid A.

I am A Bird Now is getting close, though.

"Ricketts and Scurvey", David Griggs
"Dongs of Sevotion", Smog

Somehow YHF, Kid A, Lights and all the other "hits" seem in a different category... just my talmudic delineations important to me only.

I wasn't trying to be tricky, I just figured people would know who the artist was.

As for Days of the New, they're one of my favorite bands. Not ashamed of it. :D

Overall, I like his third album the least of the three. However, it contains three of my favorite songs, therefore I would consider it one of my favorite albums of the 00's. Dirty Road, Die Born and Dancing with the Wind.

I'm sorry but there's just no way I can post just one.
Yah'll seem to agree with me about most of them (cool to see we're on the same page), but you seem to have forgotten one:

1. Bjork - Vespertine
2. Broadcast - Ha ha sound
3. Interpol - Turn on the bright lights
4. Nick Cave - Abattoir blues/the lyre of orpheus
5. Roots manuva - Run come save me
5. Neko case - Blacklisted
6. Colleen - The golden morning breaks
7. PJ Harvey - Stories From the City, Stories From the Sea
9. Songs: Ohia - Didn't it Rain
10.Dirty three - whatever you love you are

honourable mention: dirtbombs - ultragilde in black

This is pretty similar to my favorites. The only one I really don't get is that PJ Harvey album. And I like OOIOO, especially that album, but none of their stuff has ever really meant very much to me. Also, I need to get that Nick Cave album (and several others).

Here's 30 (1 per artist):
1. Songs: Ohia - Didn't It Rain
2. Low - Things We Lost in the Fire
3. Deerhoof - Reveille
4. Radiohead - Kid A
5. Animal Collective - Sung Tongs
6. Jackie-O Motherfucker - Fig. 5
7. Need New Body - s/t
8. Sufjan Stevens - Michigan
9. Racebannon - In the Grips of the Light
10. Fugazi - The Argument
11. Lightning Bolt - Ride the Skies
12. Smog - A River Ain't Too Much to Love
13. The Microphones - The Glow Pt. 2
14. Sightings - Arrived in Gold
15. Vijay Iyer & Mike Ladd - In What Language?
16. Orthrelm - OV
17. Martin Siewert/Martin Brandlmayr - Too Beautiful to Burn
18. Godspeed You Black Emperor - Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven

21. El-P - Fantastic Damage
22. Akron/Family - s/t
23. cLOUDDEAD - s/t
