Whoa, Tim Curry was the devil in that?

I might have to watch that again.

Yeah he was.

A good night of 80's movies is renting Legend, Labyrinth, House and Highlander.

Tim Curry, Bowie, Richard Moll and Clancy Brown = awesome villians.

Legend
Turned it off after half an hour. Too slow. Plus, Tom Cruise. A movie will have to be really, really good if I'm to sit through Tom Cruise.

Spun
Not bad. I probably liked it just because of Schwartzman. I didn't realise the soundtrack was 75% Corgan and Zwan. Anyway, I didn't hate it but it's not something I'd go out of my way to see again.

Bloodsucking Freaks
Couldn't get through the first scene.

The Karate Kid
Classic. It's one of those films where, since I was seeing it now for the first time, I could notice all the other movies who ripped it off and followed the same formula. But this was clearly one of the first.

For the record, Jim Henson had nothing to do with that schlockfest Legend.

Now the Dark Crystal... That was all his baby.

Definitely one of the first... plus or minus 40 years.
