I'm straight, and that kid is fucking smoking.

He can't be that pretty and be straight...

Look kiddo, you're hott and all, but we already talked about how he's the babe in that relationship.

Which in the end means him leaving you for a dude.

Ain't that the truth. You don't let them grow beards so they all freak out and grow awful mustaches.

If you combine Officer Dangle with Burt Reynolds in 100 Rifles you get the look of about half the adult men in Maine.

See, that's cheating, unfortunately. I can't do it that way.

That's not cheating....

or, at least, I was convincing myself to keep the beard around until I got a Sam Elliotesque duster. However, I'm now enjoying my vast expanse of beard, yet the moustache has gotten into mouthen territory, and it's starting (today) to tick me off...

It's cheating according to the arbitrary set of rules that I have given myself.

I know, I'm weird. Seriously, though, this is one hell of a birthday present.

Sadly, the ubiquitous cop mustache has all but vanished in the past 10-15 years, much to my wandering eye's disappointment.

Oh crap! Steve (HideousLump), while at the Belle & Sebastian show the other night, there were two guys who I thought did not fit the stereotype B&S fan. Two big burly guys with beards who looked like they belonged more in a biker bar vs a pop concert. Anyway, they turned out to be each other's mate and the first thought that popped in my head was...."Damn, where's Lumpy? He totally needs to be introduced to those guys!" :)

I am ideologically committed to the principle that everyone's body hair is ok, and all.
But, for me, male facial hair works best as all-or-nothing. I hope she's grateful.

Dare I quote Joy Behar?

Holy crap, you cloned my boss like 50 times there.

Notice how there are a couple of younger and in-shape guys there amongst the Santa Hemingways. Kind of like bears-in-training.

Tomorrow will be the last time I shave my upper lip in the next three months. It's a birthday present. A long, fuzzy, potentially celibate birthday present.

How do you think that this will affect / complement my mongering?

np: KCRW's morning becomes eclectic podcast of Arctic Monkeys live in studio.

I did this last year after the NBA Western Conf. finals upon losing a bet (I said Spurs would sweep the Suns clean, but Phoenix won one game).

It wasn't a three month one, just a one month job, but damn did i look like something else. I couldn't even look at myself in the mirror at the end of it.

Also, i recommend for the first week at least that you don't shave anywhere at all. It'll ease the transition into paedophilia.

Females and homosexuals don't find it attractive or funny, kinda like farts. So don't listen to anything they have to say about the matter. (Well at least no females I know found it funny or attractive, but they're all 17-19 year olds...Maybe some older chicks dig it.)
