You're supposed to stop being a twat just for the sake of being a twat.

Oh geez...get over yourself. Bob knows I'm brutally honest with him and the fact that I am doesn't in any way affect our friendship negatively so mind your own business.

Thanks for the support, but I do appreciate OPA! being honest with me. I'd rather him tell me it sucks than to lie about liking it to protect my feelings. Of course, I also know that everyone who says they liked it actually did like it, but let's give Chris props for sticking to his guns and marching to the beat of a different cummer.

EDIT: Sorry about that typo. Should read, "let's give Chris credit." "Props" is so white trying to be black.

np: Mark Sandman - "Double Stripper Double Sax"

It's great that he's honest, and I wasn't in any way refering to his negative reviews.

But his reply of "What, I'm supposed to like it just because everybody else does?" was just retarded.

Good point. Sometimes our Greek friend "lacks what dey call da social skills."

I just want to say, this little incident will in no way influence my review of Drinky's mix. ;)

1. Liars (easily)
2. Band of Horses
3. Neko Case.

I still haven't heard the likes of Destroyer and Boris, though, and haven't spent much time with the Black Angels and others.

Well, that's nice. I hope you understand where I was coming from with my comment even if it was a little off base.

I was just pointing out that you're the only person who really didn't like FT's mix, not making any judgments about that fact. Just stating an observation.

loose fur - born again in the usa
built to spill - you in reverse
belle and sebastian - the life pursuit

although tvotr is gaining all the time and i really really really really want to hear LIARS.

even years are always much better for music than odd years

I thought it was starting to be a good year, but looking at this thread there is a lot of good-not-great stuff so far...

Participated is used very loosely here.

Nobody listed the new Cat Power album? That's easily my favorite of the year thus far.

#2 The Black Keys - Chulahoma
#3 The Raconteurs - Broken Boy Soldiers

Without really thinking about it, the three albums to immediately come to mind are:

Band of Horses
Josh Ritter
Mates of State
