Waaaay back when it was acceptable that one might even BE at an Erasure show (was it ever?), I learned that Erasure was maybe a gay-er band, or at least had a very all-males-in-cutting-edge-fashion fan base. At least I realized it sooner than my buddy who came up and said (and I quote) "Wow, these Guys are so cool, they keep buying me beer, come on--they're way up by the stage and its really crowded, so you get bumped into alot, but you're really close to the stage!" I declined free beer, (Sorry, Opa)

Or like the time when I realized that red wine was from red grapes and white wine from white ones. It's obvious, I know, but I had never really thought about it before, say, the age of 13.

but white wine is also from red grapes.

Thanks

Nope, There are indeed white wines made from red grapes.

Here are the simple rules:
# Wine Styles Wines are primarily white or red, sweet or dry.
# Red wines are made from red grapes, being left in contact with the skins to pick up coloration and flavor compounds such as tannins. Heating may also extract color and flavor.
# White wines are made from either white or red grapes. The are generally not left in contact with the skins for any period of time once crushed.
# You can make white wine from red grapes but you can not make red wine from white grapes.
# Red table wines tend to be more complex, higher in tannins and are more often made in dry styles. However, there are important exceptions.

thanks x2 ---saved me a bunch of typing.

I pronounced "paradigm" as "pair-ah-dij-em" until I met my wife.

Oh she laughed.

I was never really sure about that word either until I heard that Tears for Fears song "God's Mistake." But I had a hunch it was more dime-ish....
