I'm not big on health fearmongering, but you really shouldn't take Ibuprofen for hangovers.

Why? I was told it's good for cramps but I also take it for headaches now and then.

I don't remember exactly. It's Ibuprofen + Alcohol that's not a good idea. Cramps or headaches or whatever I don't have any dirt on. I learned this while being licensed to sell booze in Louisiana. I think it can wreck your stomach.

Wikipedia says it can increase the risk of stomach ulcers. For some reason I thought it had something to do with stomach bleeding, but I ain't no Doc Hollywood.

I never take ibuprofen anymore. Aspirin usually, and tylenol pm when I need the sleep. Occasionally, I will take Naproxen/Aleve if I'm really sore after a super-long bike ride, but even then they don't recommend that.

I think it can damage your kidneys too, though I think the risk is mostly for repeated, long-term use.

No regular meds. Shedloads of Advil this week in an effort to avoid having cortisone injected into my hand joints (!), which have packed it in (hence little to no posting).

I don't currently take anything but I imagine I'll be getting a prescription for Lunestra or a similar product soon.

A good way not have babies is to not have sex, over and over again.

shhhh. you sound like my parents.

Well, here's something that would prolly not come out of your parents's... mouths. DON'T have loads repeatedly blown into your vagina. Change it up. DON'T do it vaginally, all the time. Hand-jobs, fisting, tit-fucking, cunnilingus, analingus, second-and-an-half base, gobblin' cock... It's all there, and it all could be yours and your mates's (well, not the fellatio, unless you like deep-throating plastic with no chance of a happy ending, if your mates are not male) for the price of... nothing.

it's an anti anxiety thing that helps me stay asleep.
see, i can get to sleep but i can't stay asleep.
i've had major insomnia for almost 14 years. without this stuff i have incredible night terrors and horrific dreams and am up all night worrying about the status of the world banking system and stuff like that.

rough child/teenhood.
couldn't live without this stuff.

This trazadoane sounds interesting. I wake up many, many times every single night.

how do you feel in the morning? i have a similar problem - but right now i take OTC stuff -> tylenol pm. however i feel "hungover" when i wake up in the morning + for awhile there after. it does the trick throughout the night though.

I am a pharmacology disaster:

imipromine (sp?), buspar, lexapro -- for anxiety, largely, but the first also for sleep (though I've never troubled over insomnia)

propecia -- to stunt early on-set thinning and balding

My girlfriend takes Trazadoane. After a few too many beers a couple years ago i decided to take one. I've never slept harder. It hurt so bad when i woke up. Not to mention i had the scariest most realistic vivid nightmare. Haven't touched it since. If i need help sleeping (which is almost never) i'll take some allergy medicine.

Long-time alcohol users who take acetaminophen, i.e. Tylenol in therapeutic or modestly excessive doses are at risk for severe hepatic injury and possibly acute liver failure.

Long term use of NSAIDs (aspirin and ibuprofen) increase your risk of stomach ulcers. A new form of NSAID, COX2 inhibitors such as Celebrex, was supposed to reduce the risk of stomach ulcers. Instead, it was really just an expensive drug that ultimately carried the same long-term risks as ordinary NSAIDs; and a barely significant increased risk for heart attack.
