I listened to Pinkerton the other day, and I thought it was kinda meh, but the Blue album still holds up.

Hey, so did I! I thought the exact same thing. I was really digging the Blue album after not hearing it for a very long time.

Exactly what I did. Pulled em both out, cos I figured it would be something that FEMGAR and I could agree on. The Blue album was great, Pinkerton seemed belabored and a little over emotive.

can we please wait until their next album before we bring up this bullshit again? Trust me, it'll seem so much better.

And none of the threads will actually have anything to say. It'll all end up looking like this:

blah blah > yadda yadda > whatever > pablo honey

And yet, we haven't been inundated with threads about the Eraser.

No, it's just a revelation to him and everyone who's been anticipating his beautiful new clothes that, in fact, the emperor has no clothes.

jesus christ fuck thanks for condescending to my level to both tell me the story of The Emperor's New Clothes and then explain it to me, BUT:

1. The first point of my post was to point out that Saint Patrick phrased it wrong (he said "The Emperor has lost his clothes). You know, it's like when someone tries to use an idiom, but they mess it up a little like Biff in Back to the Future ("sceen door on a battleship"). The Emperor didn't "lose" his clothes.

2. The second point was that I'm really fucking tired of people using that phrase to make themselves sound more authoritative.

3. Believe or not, I know the story of The Emperor's New Clothes from childhood, and I even possess the mental faculties to comprehend its meaning and have since childhood.

Sorry if I'm coming off as overly irritable. I'm feeling a little loopy from the cold I have and a little frustated that any attempt I make at subtlety will seemingly always be misunderstood.

Yeah, you can take your subtlety elsewhere. It's not welcome here.

Oh, and "idiom" was the wrong word for me to use, but whatever.

That's ok, it's a smarter-sounding word than any correct word would have been.

Sounding smart through the use of wrong words has been a lifelong goal of mine.

Oh, I'm still perfecting it.

Edit: When it comes to sounding smarter while being wronger, the sky's the limit.

In my motherfuckin' story.

The one I just wrote.

That ends with Dalen getting his ass kicked.

Its really an awesome story.
