Baby obsession confuses me too. Go forth and multiply was a long time ago. You're just adding to the crowd at this point. Which is your business and all, but don't act like you're doing some great thing or doing the world a favor just cause you're reproducing. And, don't act like it makes you privy to some secret knowledge that the childless will never understand.

Why are people so obsessed with babies?

I wish I knew.

A friend of mine recently set me up on a blind date with a friend of hers. Everything was going pretty well until she told me that she's 4.5 months pregnant and that the father moved away. Apparently she just really wanted a baby badly and now is looking for someone to help take care of it.

I couldn't get out of there fast enough. yikes.

That could be a bonus. Pregnant women are generally horny (full of life and happiness to be alive) and you can't get her pregnant.

I'd be nervous about a what a women that is 4.5 months pregnant looks like. Either she was getting a little big and maybe less attractive or she was super thin and the baby is malnourished.

(BTW, I think pregnant women are hot.)

well, if this hasn't cheered Todd up, I don't know what will.

for what it's worth, I think everyone should have babies. Except me. and my immediate neighbors.

It's a shame I'm at work, or I'd google the shit out of "pregnancy sex". I know that it is a certifiable fetish, though. So there's lot around... Timmyjoe, you have a treo with which you can surf the net from work without getting busted surfing porn?

A pregnant woman and her husband came to the dungeon I worked at. Her husband was apparently not very skilled, so she enlisted the help of a Domme with a strap-on. Not me, btw.

Just talked to the drummer.
Looks like I am, in fact, an afterthought.
"If I have the time, I would love to play with you on a couple of the new songs..."

Disappointing and depressing.

Ugh.

Tool.

Don't be depressed or disgusted. Use this opportunity to do bigger and better things!

pregnancy is not an aphrodisiac in this house. bloated, tired, gassy, and grumpy. AWESOME!

This is good advice. Remember that Loverboy only formed after Paul Dean got kicked out of Streetheart and Mike Reno got booted out of Moxy.

Or maybe use the Lemmy/Hawkwind example if it fits better.

Sorry to hear about that Todd.

Like the rest of the people are saying, just don't let this bump in the road discourage you from writing music.

Sucks, Todd. But I reiterate everything that's been said in this thread (you know, regarding you). It always felt like you were the driving force of Hop On Pop and you'll be the driving force no matter what you choose to do next.

Not necessarily. Never happened during either of SHEFRAC's pregnancies. Of course, it's also never happened at any other point in the 15 years we've been married...LOLZ.

("It" happens, just always FT-initiated.)

Are you still not over this?

Seriously, Todd. Friendrock. Get over it and do your own thing.

I am. Mostly. I don't sit around thinking about it. But when I do happen to thing about it, that's when I'm not over it. It's tough to get over the percieved betrayal of a best friend.
And this is just a message board. And I'm just venting. If I can't do this here, then, whatever.
