13 Dec 03 NE @ BAL 8:30 PM
- BAL's defense isn't what it used to be. BAL's offense is. NE easy.

14 Dec 09 PIT @ NE 4:15 PM
- PIT's defense & offense are pretty good, but losing to the jets and nearly losing to MIA (on a sloppy field) should worry steelers fans. NE easy by 3Q.

15 Dec 16 NYJ @ NE 1:00 PM
- NYJ planning on 2008. NE easy.

16 Dec 23 MIA @ NE 1:00 PM
- MIA planning on 2008. NE easy.

17 Dec 29 NE @ NYG 8:00 PM
- Giants D is good, but which Eli shows up? Doesn't matter -- NE easy by late 2Q.

Playoff opponents?

IND
- has the best shot of any team but i see NE outlasting them at home.

PIT
- covered above

SD
- Good defense & shaky offense compared to last year. If they bring their A game AND play under emotion of losing to NE last year AND norv sticks to the running game to run out the clock and are effective doing so, then they have a shot. Long-winded way to say NE easy by early 3Q.

JAC
- Fairly strong defense and solid running-based offense. i think Mathis can do a decent job on Moss with some safety help. But another safety on Welker or D.Smith (assuming M.Peterson is healthy) ? Too many weapons. But JAC has a good OL and running game incl. Garrard so i think they have the 2nd best AFC shot to INDi.

CLE
- Their defense sucks and i'm sure Belicheat can figure out a way to shut down his former co-worker's offensive game plan. NE easy.

DAL
- i assume that dallas will win the NFC after reviewing last night's game. they showed earlier this year they can hang for a half. their offense and defense look about as good now as when they played the patsies, so that tells me nothing will change with the outcome.

So best bets to beat NE won't come til the playoffs. By then they have a 16-0 momentum and a week to rest their ailing.

Not a fan but it looks like we'll see 19-0.

the steelers appear to be a team that plays up for good opponents and down for poor opponents. their losses are to teams that they could've/should've thwacked. but they have a number of impressive wins against potent opposition. they are also clearly not afraid of falling behind. (see: week 10 v. cleveland.)

now, i'm not saying that they're going to beat new england, but they match up pretty well against them. i wouldn't be surprised if this is a serious football game in a few weeks.

is 18 referring to the cameragate game or your pipe dream that they're gonna lose to dallas in the playoffs?

its the perfect setting, as they get to 18-0 and then lose the super bowl.

dont think its not crossing your mind that they face the 'Boys again and lose in the SB.

I'd enjoy seeing TO lose to the Patriots a second time, the first time . . . not so much.

10-17 Baltimore, in the 3rd.

Interesting.

At the risk of being stabbed by Jon, I kinda want them to lose. Just sayin.

Whether the Ravens pull it out or not, it appears that teams with embattled coaching staffs have the best shot of knocking off the Pats. Too bad, then, that San Diego doesn't get New England this year. NORV!, plus a damn good back (LDT), would prolly seal the deal.

If we pull this out, then it would cap a horrible season, and make it not so bad.

Yeah I just get tired of hearing every male coworker talk about it, every week. Get beaten once already.

Tom Brady is the kind of guy that throws the game winning touchdown and goes up and fucks your girlfriend while you and your buddies are at the bar slopping down brewskies bragging about how god like he is.

I hate him.

Yeah, this is true.

I'll still take the wins, though.

Erstwhile Baltimore (Colts) head coach Don Shula -- debonair Hungarian -- being in the building as Belichick -- Croatian hobo -- is watching his house of cards collapse makes me think of pre-Great War Europe, when Austria-Hungary dominated Croatia.

Take that, Shula says. Under our thumb, again.

Beautifully erected, the best card-stock around... It's an award-winner (to be), a replica of Versailles in Bicycles. But it... might... well... fall (before we expected).
