Dude, Bruce has been doing that stuff since Bono was in short pants.

I thought it was pretty tremendous for a 12 minute halftime show. I'm glad too that they jazzed up the inevitable "new song" with the gospel choir. Nice touch. "10th Avenue Freeze Out" was not on my list of songs I thought he'd do but I thought it was a great choice. I wonder how many douche's at NBC were begging for "Born In The USA"?

The game was totally entertaining right up to the end which is about all you can ask for. Way to snatch FAIL from the jaws of victory, Arizona--we knew you probably would.

this quote just doesn't make any sense. Technically, these teams are the best two teams in the entire league.

well the quote does make sense. as for the idea that the teams are 'technically' the best, i can't answer it. i know that if my any number of teams this year were in the nfc west, the cards would not have qualified for the playoffs. so i accept the phrase 'the cards are a playoff team due to a technicality.' i don't really accept what you said, but it could be logistically true.

Seriously? This makes less sense than the sentence Hegel quoted.

take it to mean that the best team does not always win.

I get what yr saying but...

Who are you, Yogi Berra?

Seriously, the last few posts made as much sense as this:

i think you need to work on your reading comprehension skills. don't feel bad; you are obviously not the only one.

I think clearly the problem is either your mental faculty or your ability to express in written form what is a sound thought.

Back to the drawing board, Hemingway.

(Also, the premise of your argument is such an abortion of rational thought that it deserves a clothes hanger emoticon)

i'm not one to defend a boston fan, but that sentence makes perfect sense to me.

the premise of my argument is that several teams finished the regular season with better records than the cardinals. i don't have a problem with the playoff system as it is and in no way believe there is anything unfair about it. however, i disagree with the premise that the superbowl technically features the best 2 nfl teams.

the sentence that you say does not make any sense simply means that the cardinals were lucky to qualify for the playoffs due to their weak ass division. once they got there they played pretty well, but i feel very comfortable saying that they suck.

Good game. I wanted the Cards to win, simply for their underdog status. When Fitzgerald was running for that TD, I was screaming "Go, Go, Go!" like I was watching A.J. Green (UGA WR).

Santonio Holmes DELIVERED. That's how you're supposed to play.

Super Bowl ads = FAIL. I do remember laughing at at least one, but I can't remember what corp it was for, so like I said, FAIL.

Looks like a ten cent bump this morning, but that took it from 1.72 to 1.82, and I bought it at 1.90 I think. It hit 2.30 or so a month back, but I'm waiting for more like 3 or 4.

(tents fingers) I too can play the waiting game, Denny's.

Clearly they suck because they did not get the fortune of playing in the Thrillhouse's hypothetical conference of awesomeness.

So you're okay with a playoff system that allows a team that flat out "sucks" to play for all the marbles?
