I will try. Lines at these things are usually pretty crazy! You want a picture signed or something?

As long as it's properly framed and wearing Mike's green cap.

If his daughter Ami is there, then it's a different story, and I'll have a nice stalking story to share on Monday.

i gotta agree with Drinky on this one. there are maybe 10 people on here who talk about metal.

So, of the 40-50 people who post here, either 20% or a full one-quarter, still like to wear black jeans, black work boots and a black metallica shirt like the fat geeks in high school?

Guys, Tanner is right, before the past year or so, all metal threads were exclusive property of Twilight Kid or PopTodd's OTHER most started thread behind Shrimpboat - ZOMG! MAIDEN! THEY ROCK MELODICALLY!!

Now, Dalen is some kind of metal expert, toots and mayor of simpleton and even Stop Breathin get in on the headbanging action.

Plus, Drinky and Shiv, who like anything tuneless, artless, loud for loud's sake or just plain shitty either like this stuff or just stand up for it because it sucks.

Are there really sheep on Obner? People who don't decide what to like until others approve? Really? The statement's been put out there in various permutations since CMJ days and I don't see it, not much anyway,

We have some people who despise certain kinds of music, some people who love other kinds, and some people who dabble in everything but don't really have preferences.

Maybe the sheep are the ones who compare notes with each other? I don't do much of that but it's not like those who do are bleating about waiting for shearing and baskets of apples. I hope.

Can't speak to toots & the midols or mayor of simpleton, but for dalen's metal cred, one should consider that he has alleged* being a skater in the 80s, & as I recall from the heshers I encountered then they were as likely to be rocking Skid Row as Black Flag. So, too, with Stops Breathin', we have to consider his long-time Deftones fandom, as well Opeth (he & Sketch have carried the torch for that outfit).

*& there is no reason not to believe him.
