A possible military coup, mass protests, fermented fish throwing, grenades through windows, dissolving parliament. The big court case on Feb 26th. Interesting few months in store for Thai politics/life.

I'm watching.

Thai troubles ahead

Poo & Fish

Yeah, pretty sure my kids aint going to college unless stuff turns around...

But in the meantime you were able to buy more shares for the same amount of money - if you were doing monthly debits.

There is no doubt college tuition is going to rise - and outpace inflation - and if it doesnt, then probably only for bad reasons. The question is by how much.

Quote:
According to the College Board, in the 1970s there was little, if any, real growth in college prices. In the early 1980s, however, tuition and fees began to grow much more rapidly than consumer prices – in fact, during the 1980s, the cost of attending college rose over three times as fast as median family income. This trend of rapidly-increasing college costs has continued through the 1990s. Over the ten-year period ending in 2002–2003, after adjusting for inflation, average tuition and fees at both public and private four-year colleges and universities rose 38 percent. (See appendix, Chart B, for tuition increases 1977 - 2002) And according to information gathered from the College Board and the Census Bureau, over the last 22 years (since 1981), the cost of a public four-year college education has increased by 202 percent, while the CPI has gone up only 80 percent.

College Cost Crisis Report here

I dont know what the answer is.. I dont think about it.

Re-regulating the cost of state tuition? Letting the appointed Regents boards raise tuition basically ensures that tuition and fees will rise, because, you know, shit gotta get built and all (by the Regents friends.)

Sorta like the Government - you gotta keep feeding the beast if you want to get anything out of it, LOL.

Jose Cansco has fought in two celebrity boxing events in the past, he also fought and lost to Hong Man Choi last year in the opening round of the DREAM “Super Hulk” tournament.

Now Canseco wants a piece of StrikeForce’s 47 year old heavyweight fighter Herschel Walker. The former MLB star turned snitch wrote this on his twitter earlier today.
“I guess I may have to show Herschel Walker who the real bad Boy of the Sports industry is. If the powers that be are reading, I want in.”

The flipside is LSU. The LSU board of regents cannot raise tuition, which has resulted in two things - 1) Having to cut higher education budget to keep the state government solvent, 2) Higher education that lags behind most of the other schools in the SEC. So, it's not that simple. The state just mandated that LSU cut millions from their budget, which means less programs offered and less professors to teach classes.

Here's a blind item for Dalen:

Quote:
"Some rich people like to collect coins or stamps. Not our Oscar nominee/winner. Our actor has a huge and growing collection of porn. While technology has advanced so that you can order it up on your TV in the comfort of your own home, our actor gets a lot of deliveries. Turns out that they prefer the really nasty kind that you have to order over the internet. Two more interesting points here: One, our actor is female. And two, she enjoys sharing it with her also-famous best friend."

You can see guesses here.

We're talking about higher education in AMERICA here, Tanner.
