Duke was on the short end of a lot of calls down the stretch. UNC did not have possession of that ball when they were awarded the TO. I can't believe I just said Duke got hosed by the refs... hot snow falls up.

It'll be interesting to see who's #1 tomorrow. Carolina did not look that impressive... but Christ, is May a stud.

yeah, that was a suspect call, but i like that the three guys simulataneously knew to go for a TO before the jump ball was called. call it good coaching?

we think that May may have decided that he may not want to come back next year and is trying to play his way off the clippers.

Prediction: UNC #1 in AP... Illinois #1 in ESPN. That will be one helluva Final Four matchup if the committee doesn't screw either team.

the thing is, Carolina still hasn't put together a complete game where they play like a #1. i don't know what the deal is, they've got more talent than jesus and they still aren't fulfilling it at this point in the year. although the fact that Rashaad wasn't there today means something.

When's the state/wake game?

It's at 8 and as you are aware, we need it big time.

i'm pulling for you but you've been selling me out big time lately. those are your two favorite teams i thought, i would think that it's a win/win for you.

McCants is all or nothing... but May and the Williams' are the real deal, most all of the time. I was never a huge Felton fan until this year, but even he can come up short down the stretch. Then, there is the Roy Williams factor... that guy can lose to anyone, anywhere, anytime. I think the Sweet 16 might be a pitfall for UNC. They get past that, they're going FF.

As for the Illini, they play in friendly arenas all the way through. Familiar rims, tons of orange in the stands and most likely the #1 overall seed. I can't even believe that they're saying Kansas gets the last #1. That team is a #2... maybe. I can list 10 teams better than them... especially if Langford is done.

State/Wake is at 6p I think?? NC State wins, they're in. I say they win by 6.

Well, its senior night and Hodge's last game at home, plus the fact that we played Wake close last game, so I am optimistic about our chances. Big big game.

Justin Gray and Chris Paul... making plays. Locked up a #1 seed. One remains up for grabs.

If by making plays, you mean Chris Paul cheap-shotted Hodge in the balls, then yes, Chris Paul made plays tonight.

Chris paul is the dirtiest player in the ACC. I like what Coach K did, and start Patrick Johnson against him to play ticky tack D and rile him up.

I hadn't realized how dirty he was until last night. That's just wrong. Granted, Hodge isn't the cleanest player in the league, but he has never resorted to a low blow. It was especially dirty since it was Senior night and Hodge's last home game.

Which part? When the students rushed the floor?

Yeah, way to rush the floor when beating a lower ranked team.

But no, I can't believe Carolina was awarded a TO when they didn't even have possession of the ball.

And Duke's rebounding the entire game was atrocious.

I though them rushing the floor was a little odd as well...

Probably due to Duke owning UNC over the last 19 meetings and plus the 11-0 run in the last three minutes to win the game....

ahhh, theyll be playing again next Sunday in the ACC tournie.

while i'm not a wak fan by any stretch, i love it when a school takes ANY responsibility for stuff like this, and i think that the one-game suspension for paul is appropriate.

Yea, but they knew it was coming from the ACC regardless if they suspended him for the jimmy tap. They are just doing damage control from a PR perspective. At least we possibly get another shot at Wake in the ACC tourney.

That kinda sucks.

I was hoping for Paul to play during a possible second round ACC tourney rematch with State.

It'd be an interesting rematch, but we need all the help/advantage we can get to try and get as far as we can get in the ACC Tourney just so we have a small shot to get in the NCAA tourney.
