 I got Super Mario Galaxy 2 for Christmas and finally got around to playing it about 2 weeks ago. I'm already obsessed. I don't know how they keep making this series so great.

is this for the wii?

we're due for a new game

It's the best reviewed and one of the best selling Wii games ever. Different from SMB in that it's fully 3D interactive.

saturday: driving down to ny for the rest of the weekend with the girl to see her family.

sunday: coming back from ny, not sure i have anything else planned.

mon-fri: cleaning house and packing for moving. will probably try to see hesher and 13 assassins sometime during the week.

sat-sun: going to b.o.m.b. fest

Damn man. Has this been an ongoing search or did something happen?

Landlord says she's moving back into her unit at the end of July. We thought we'd have tons of options and this would be much easier than it turned out to be. Both in-our-current-building options have pretty much vanished, and the rental market here right now is fucking brutally competitive in the wrong direction... Oh you have a baby and 2 dogs? Fuck you, fifteen people just applied who are all 40 year old single librarians. We were in a borrowed neighbor's car on the way to an appointment to view some place, and got a call that it was already gone. Three or four other places are all smiles until they hear we have a kid, then they say they don't have a De-Leaded Certificate, which means they cannot rent to anyone with kids under 6. Hard times.

That sucks hard.

We are having a bitch of a time trying to sell our place.
Just dropped the price another 15,000.
If we get our asking now, we took a $150,000 loss in 4 years! hoo ray!

Saturday:
The Great Strides CF Walk. I plan on doing my best Steve Prefontaine impression tomorrow as I run the 2.3 mile trail around Holmes Lake in Lincoln, while everyone else slowly ambles around the lake.
Then I'm going to go grocery shopping in my track shorts.

Saturday Night:
I'm going to enjoy some fine cocktails and fancy beer at various bars in downtown Lincoln, hopefully we don't have another series of rain storms like we have for the last 48hrs.

Sunday: Laundry

Does it help that every place we can find to rent is around $3k a month?

It sucks..
but if you have or can somehow still come up with a down payment, i think buying is the way to go.

although, with the economy and housing markets the way it has been the last 5 years, maybe it is better to not have any long term commitments...I'm sure and I know it will all turn around eventually, but it's hard to see the sun right now.

$3000 a month? Yikes. you looking for trump apartments? lol

Around here you can spend $7 or $8k amonth if you want. Hell we just saw one listed in Beacon Hill for $12k a month. One floor of an old house, in good shape, with 2 bedroom and 1.5 baths around here (Cambridge, Jamaica Plain, a few other places around Boston) is between $2700 and $3300 a month right now.

Jesus. It's def a buyer's market here in Atlanta right now.

$2700 a month?? That'd get you a 4 bed, 3.5 bath with a finished basement in a NICE neighborhood down here.

That'd just be renting. You could get it a few hundred cheaper if you bought.

It would be cool if we had a lot of bills that we could get rid of by like selling our car or something, but we did that a while ago. There's not much left to trim but good beer and the 48mpg motorcycle gas budget, which ain't much. We'll figure something out, there are places around that are "only" $2700 or so, and we could do that I guess. But the competition for them is fierce.

I know some guys looking to start one in downtown Montgomery. It's an oasis of fail in a state of fail, but for your apartment budget, I think I could get you a nice place. And by nice place I mean for that price, you can move into an 8000 sq ft art deco estate or The Governor's Mansion.

heh heh heh

If only this badass job were there. And "there" weren't there in Gonkgomgery. But I know what you mean.

Shiv I'm pretty sure the Mrs saw that place, it's ugly and the start date is wrong but yeah those things are out there sometimes. Gives me some hope. Going to see two fucking places tonight... I have to leave work early (again), break the sound barrier going home, walk the dogs quick, pick up the baby, bike down into boston, meet up with the wife, and go tromp through 2 places all before we can get her back home, feed her, and get her to bed. I'll be really fucking happy when we get this shit wrapped up. Looking more and more like something will turn up in JP, which is better for the wallet but worse for squirrgle's commute. Fuuuuck route 9.
