Well done, Bob. Agreed with Loog on vocal pauses. Perhaps as your material builds, you can make it a bit of a running gag: "So I'm pumping gas the other day. Feeling pretty good... balls are dry..." But, as a few people have already said, stand-up is the hardest performing art there is. Good on ya.

This first time was done on a dare, and I really didn't have enough material prepared. I definitely would plan on coming up with more stuff - especially not related to ball sweat - should I do this again in the future.

I'd say you have some potential for sure and I can't wait to see what you come up with next. Don't put too much pressure on yourself as this should be a fun outlet that is more productive to get those self-loathing thoughts out than say, drinking or whatever self-destructive vice is out there that is easier.

Nick DiPaolo has a similar bit addressing the sticky balls issue….the addition of talcum powder creating a pancake batter, and while playing basketball with his friends he does a lay up and 2 Belgian waffles fall out of his shorts, etc. Yours is actually better than his imo. I think it shows stage smarts that you did you bit and got the fuck out of there. Having been to several hundred open mics I've sat through many less than 10 minute sets that felt like 300.
