I have been slacking in my board use as well... the only reason I checked today was to see if we were doing a Fantasy Football season (which we are!). And Colin (Sketch) still owes me a CD from the NCAA Tournament Pick 'Em challenge!!! :)

Yeah, I had that handle... on the CMJ board. I'm in SF, play in a band, and work in the outer Sunset. And I'm married (again).

My memory of usernames generally stops after the CMJ board.

I live in SF, live near Dolores Park and work downtown. I'm not married, but live with a girlfriend who doesn't like to listen to music.

That 1996 thread got me thinking of Desert Rat and Wrongsteeple, two CMJers who I don't think ever made the migration to Obner unless they chose new user names and I never made the connection.

I live in the Richmond and work in the outer Sunset... actually, I work at a worker-owned cooperative and live in a housing cooperative, so I have been fully assimilated by the SF hippy borg.

Pretty damn close. I live at approximately 17th and Sanchez (I actually live on a small side street). Sanchez is one block west of Church (Dolores being one block east of Church).

Fuckin' bitches, I see you talking about me! I miss your asses too. In fact, D (Dana) and Beachy (Chris) and I are filming a porn at Bumbershoot this weekend. We're waiting for Radcliffe to arrive with the script.

Hugs and kisses!

It's in the house somewhere I swear... I've also burned a MP3 disc as an interest payment.

Pretty much. He's still chasing down links and he, Loogs and I have an ongoing Facebook chat. He's doing quite well, actually.

good to hear. i've thought about him as i've been slowly uploading/listening to this Spring 1990 abortion of a box set. i'm sure he's already snagged it, but if not i'll post up some links in the dead thread.

So ole dumpjail made a conscientious decision to take a break from the board, or the lack of Black Oak Arkansas/Foghat/etc threads to respond to lead naturally to a break? Strange -- he's one of my favorite boarders but I didn't realize he hadn't posted all summer. I guess still seeing him on facebook made me not realize he wasn't here as well. That, and I only read my own posts of course.

I don't really have time for the whole "internet" or "being a music fan" thing any more though, so I guess that's why I'm not around here no more.

I guess I've sold out.

But, I just tuned in this morning to see if I could find some new music, because with that self-realisation came the notion that perhaps my music collection is turning rather stale, and happened on this old posters thread. So I thought I'd say g'day.

And then I realised I don't even own a computer outside the work one any more, so I can't even download anything because everything download-related is blocked by IT.

Is this what growing old feels like?

What's next, buying a compact disc of Coldplay or Foo Fighters or some shit from a petrol station to listen to "in the work car"...?

You're at least as charasmatic as you were before, which is to say that I still have a hard time reading what you're saying and giving a shit.
