Come on Chris, the only teams to win the World Series in the last 10 years with small payroll was the miracle run of the Angels and the Marlins. I'm pretty sure the Marlins had over 100 million.

All of the old arguments against the Braves, they win divisions not championships, their playoff attendance is poor, are just tired. The bottom line is we field a great team every year with minimal help from ownership.

The reason I put the payrolls up was because I think that besides the curent steriods issue my biggest beef with baseball is the lack of parity in it. With the Yankees and Red Sox spending that kind of money it assures that some teams will NEVER win a World Series and it is ruining the game (especially the regular season). My point is that depspite this issue the Braves continue to win with smart off season moves, great coaching, and a great farm system when with the payroll restrictions and the current financial climate of MLB we shouldn't even compete for championships.
