T'was a joke, my good, Greek (double entendré) friend.
As a writer (as I know you are, too) I found humor in your vague phrasing.

If by mormons you mean homosexuals, then wouldn't that count you too? Or no, because you're out of the closet and out on the dancefloor? ;)

I have a few mormon friends, from different places etc. General rules:

- Polite. well-spoken, clean, etc.
- Interested in getting you to visit their church for one reason or another, but by no means crazily interested, unless they're going through that service period, where they have to ride the bikes and recruit people (most of them kinda hate doing it).
- A strangely high % of them are hot, both male and female. I have a theory that says it's genetically selected in them to help grow the franchise.

I went a few times with a friend a few years back, had potluck dinner, etc. I was not accosted. They were less aggressive than baptists, slightly more agressive than Presbyterians and methodists. Only real catch: no marrying outside the fold.

I say keep your wits about you and go for it.

OK so, the confused one called me this weekend.

For those who don't know, I stopped seeing him sometime late last year when he couldn't commit to any sort of [sexual] relationship with me. He liked spending time with me and we did all sorts of things (dinner, movies, etc.) but when the subject of sex was approached, he'd reject the idea. He wouldn't even want to kiss. Well, I finally told him that I'm not interested in just being friends with him so it was time to hit the road.

Well, this weekend, he called me and wanted to hang out. I, being my true self, immediately asked him if he's ready to suck some dick. He paused for a moment so I did the only logical thing: I hung up on him.

He called again, maybe 5 minutes later. He told me that if I was perhaps a little patient with him, he'd be more comfortable with sex. I wasn't buying it. Mind you, I had put up with over 6 months of this nonsense.

He asked me if we could just be friends then, and I told him that I'd be willing to have sex with a Mormon, but I won't be friends with one.

In any case, the conversation was going nowhere so after saying our goodbyes, we hung up.

This morning, I get to work to find an E-mail from him. In the E-mail he writes that after thinking about our phone conversation, he'd be willing to explore the possibilities if I were patient with him.

Now I don't know. I feel like I've been more than patient with him but I still feel like I want to be there for him. However, I'm not willing to compromise. I'm 33 years old and I don't feel I should have to waste my life on someone who may or may not finally come out of the closet.

I know, I'm rambling, but this kid has really affected me and I don't want to hurt him.

Maybe he's a bug chaser and wants to "belong" to something.
