That asshole behind the Streets deserves a career ending, permanently unscratchable rash as well.

The tricky part of this question is to find a group that has staying power (hence why you shouldn't vote for Lim Bizkit or Creed or whomever), that isn't obviously gar to folks like us (hence why Mike Bolton is a pretty facile choice) but to choose someone who allegedly has artistic merit, but has pretty much shit the bed. Even Dave Matthews and John Mayer uber excitement seems to have abated, and they are kind of negligible in their impact these days (this coming froma guy who almost got into a fight with Busty over my hatred for Matthews)

So, I'm going to throw this out there, apologies to Dri and whomever else, but Radiohead should be forced to pack it in. They have nothing new or interesting to offer, yet everyone waits with baited breath for their next "communique" as if I give a fuck about their ennui or dissatisfaction with the modern world.

GO AWAY! PLEASEGOTHEFUCKAWAY!

100% agree with your concept Nickelback etc is way too easy to ignore for me to wish for them to stop. I strongly disagree with your sentiment on Radiohead. In fact a weekend in 2003 will help make my decision in this poll. REM and Radiohead played on consecutive nights in Vancouver BC, REM opened their show with Begin the Begin and it was unbelievably hot. The crowd was way into it and I was thinking- OK this will be fun. Three or so songs later Stipe announces that Country Feedback is hius favorite song and you could hear a pin drop in the crowd's miasma of disinterest.

Radiohead played the next night and brought it big time.

REM- I love your early records, but it's just become embarassing now, please stop.

And now, name me one listenable Radiohead song since OKC

True Love Waits

You obviously just don't like the direction Radiohead has gone post-OKC, but I think some of the songs on Kid A and Amnesiac are as strong as some of their earlier songs.

I think one band everyone can agree that should call it quits is Aerosmith.

No shame in a bit of lazy eye, y'all.

So I had someone in my car the other day and was playing a tape with a song off the recent De La Soul on it, and she declared them to be 'lame white boy rappers,' which may show how long it's been, or something.

Aerosmith is a very fine choice. Show no signs of stopping, becoming unpopular, or getting good. I don't need more Stones or Radiohead, either, but the 'smith is pretty egregious.

Oh, I hear ya. Some folks have no class, as my nice southern mother would have said. I think her unhelpful advice would urge 'rising above it.'

Oh, I don't want him to die, I want him to suffer. I've found his album output to be easily avoidable.

Oh, and even though it hasn't come out yet, and may never, I'll put "The Who" in this category.

Whatever they attempt to put out can't be that good.

[can of worms]Townshend has had more good songs on his last 3 or 4 albums than the Stones have.[/can of worms]

I just pretend it's an album for kids (it is, but they didn't promote it that way) and try to ignore it.

I don't really get the condemnation of Radiohead but to each his own. I didn't even really get into Radiohead until Kid A!
