yeah, but Ike Reilly instead.

You get most of the same letters.. IKE ReILLy really, swap another e for the o, and you've got a perfect anagram.

I ain't heard the Rilo Kiley, but damn if I'm not lovin' the new Ike Relly.

ok, so i've decided to limit the number of new music releases for the rest of the year (not counting the wilco book) to 7. My current candidates for the top 7 are:

autolux, devendra, luna, rilo kiley, u2

i've already bought vetiver, viva voce & hop on pop based on recommendations. anything else i'm missing :?:

i also have an emusic subscription and will be able to scoop up another 40 come dec. 12.

RIYL? i read a couple reviews but couldn't glean much but hard rock with some nice lyrics. Rolling stones & cracker were namedropped, but i don't trust the reviewers.

Damn, it's a difficult RIYL. There's facets that will appeal to Dylan fans, Johnny Cash fans, old school punk a la the Clash, Beastie Boys fans, etc. etc.

The arrangements are a wonderfully diverse mix, and complement stark, honest, well-crafted lyrics to a tee.

The last time I checked the website, www.ikereilly.com , they were streaming songs from the new one.

As with his first album, there are hard rockin' raucous tunes as well as intimate, introspective, quiter songs.

It's my fave of the year.
