That is a kinda weird story. Any bets on the chemicals found in the poor sap's body?

Hmmm. 18 years old? I say weed, booze and meth/ice.

YEP, that about nails it.

Dana -- Newnan's homes are still intact. To the point that I believe the old lady on the homes tour still has a tree that is a stalk of cotton and the decorations are "darkies" -- aka those little lawn ornament things. Oh antebellum class.

Yeah, South ATL is pretty gar, but I still like it better than that whole vast Northside that is full of all of those places that interchangebale in my mind.

Where's the Griffin love? Come on now.... ;)

Okay, I just told Dunwoody that all of Atlanta isn't bad, and yet I'm making blanket statements about Riverdale, Palmetto and Jonesboro.

Cap'n, true dat about the history of Jonesboro. I really hope the old section of Newnan doesn't go the same way, as they have some beautiful antebellum homes as well.

Griffin is pretty gar, for real.

Actually Dana, Newnan is in pretty good shape in the downtown area. There has been a revitilization and an influx of shops nice restaraunts, etc.

The area down by I-85 on the other hand......

Yes, Bullsboro... "look, there's a Chili's! Look, there's another Chili's! Look there's a super wal-mart right next to the Home Depot! Look at all the strip-mall goodness! WATCH OUT FOR THAT CAR!" Crash.

Yes, I've driven down that section, man it has to have been 3-4 years ago. It was horrible then.

for those who are interested in seeing where these various towns are that we're referring to:

map

PTC should have a nice little rainbow over it, or maybe a big "we don't like riff raff" sign over it.

btw, as far as history is concerned, this is coming from the girl who grew up in East Point before moving to the Ivory Shores of Lake Peachtree.

It was a strange twist of fate that I landed in PTC m'self. Mom got divorced, and lucked into a cheap house there. Never had a golf cart. Clean, safe, boring.
