I'm three blocks from AT&T and the city is still buzzin. Heading into the office, I just ran into a couple of drunks that must've been up all night. "G-g-giants". Idiots. I told'em to go home. Still, two games to win heading to the BP@A. This game will f**k with you. Can turn on a dime.

Felt bad for the kid, the 'Dutch Oven'. Deer in the headlights

Hang in there Bobbo. If it's any consolation, I'm an A's fan.

Yeah, I actually do feel bad for Holland deep beneath my veneer of homicidal rage.

During the second half of last season, he was emerging as one of our most promising future starters, but he had a shaky spring training and never really got on track this year until the ALCS. Sadly, that may have been an abberation rather than him finally coming around for good. He's got a GREAT arm, but he really seems to be easily intimidated. And, he's now as accurate as a gay dartsman.

Out of all the Giants teams over the years, it's this one that finally gets a title. Amazing. Wish I was back down there tonight.

Yes, it is a shame FT had to watch his side lose, on its homefield, & even worse, we have to send felicitations to Rapin' Rod, but we must remember: no matter who were to win this World Series, it would be a WIN of the YEAR for CHAGTZYG.

Kind of sickening to me, especially the way the Padres owned the Giants this year. That pitching though... And I'm most happy for Tim Flannery.

I know, huh? So many good teams over the years and this team wins the WS???

I am lifetime Dodgers fan, but the bay area has gone all warm and squishy these last two weeks. I was at the Bridge School concert last week and the crowd response to the Giants game was bigger than any of the acts. Huge roar as the Giants beat the Phillies and Billy Idol (on stage) thought it was for him and he preened in appreciation. Let's go Gi-ants... (Walter Alston, Johnny Podres, Johnny Roseboro and my dad are rollling in their graves)

congrats Giants fans, I did not enjoy watching you win, but remember that feeling very well. Enjoy it.

Interesting that for all the talk about how dominate the AL is and how it has clearly been the better league in recent history, the leagues are now 5-5 in the last 10 World Series.

Actually, that's probably interesting only to me. Carry on.

congrats to the giants and especially ROGNEEB

they deserved the series win 100%

cliff lee should be shot for not pitching around renteria with rowand on deck

you can have him, dov - this postseason proved colby lewis is the true ace of this staff, given how he performed when it mattered most, unlike lee

also, billy g was right about hunter

I think BILG will like Cliff Lee just fine, too.

Fuck the Yankees! Cock!

In the World Series, Renteria is Derek Jeter.

Jeter's career in the regular season: .314/.385/.452
Jeter in 7 World Series: .321/.384/.449
(so pretty much the same)

Renteria's career in the regular season: .287/.344/.400
Renteria in 3 World Series: .333/.391/.508
