Ditto.

Don't get your hopes up fellas. I'm as dyed in the wool Bulldawg as they come and even I'll concede that this will be a fairly monumental upset if it happens. I expect a 14 point or bigger opening spread.

But, like they say, LSU might beat us 8 or 9 times out of 10 but all we need is the 1.

Our D is legit.

Seems UGA's season trajectory has been different this year - much more trending up as the year progresses, as opposed to the mid-to-late-season bed shittings of seasons past. That is what gives me hope...

Assuming LSU wins, & with the Beauxyou Bengeauxs already having beaten Oregon & Alabama, plus Oklahoma State, Wisconsin, & Stanford having gagged away at least one game, & assuming Houston defeats Southern Miss, how 'bout the mid-major gets its shot? Sure, LSU will prolly end up Georgia to Houston's Hawai'i, but with no other undefeated teams, & every other team having at least one loss, & two of those being to LSU, why the hell not?

Sadly, we're all going to be subjected to a rematch of the LSU-Bama field goal extravaganza from earlier this season.

oh, dear jebus

you out FT-ed me, there, monty

truth be told, UH is THE WORST undefeated team EVER

seriously, the place i went to grad school (north texas) -which fielded one of CFB's worst this year - actually gave them a tussle for a half

plus, they SQUEAKED BY both harry's bruins (the same UCLA squad who just lost 50-0 to USC) and TCB'S la tech

any other top 10 team would beat UH by AT LEAST 20

So what happens if UCLA pulls a magic upset over Oregon in the Pac-12 Title game? Could UCLA feasibly be in the Rose Bowl? Do they petition to make it happen. Lots of dominoes have to fall, but its not out of the question.

Saw a NC State 27-pt comeback win over Maryland in person this weekend, which I wouldn't have believed could happen if I weren't there. What a crazy finish to the season, throttling Clemson and this crazy win.

Looks like we will be playing the Belk Bowl in Charlotte this year, which while not very prestigious is at least very convenient for me.

Blech x 1 mil

The funniest thing about this whole rigamarole is that it is the rightful outcome of a close to ten year PR campaign to prove that TEH WORSS ESS EE CEE TEAM IS BETTAR THAN TEH BESK BIG TEYN or BIG TWALVE or *shudder* PAKE TANE TEAM.

What hath ye wrought?/We have met the enemy and he is us

The silver lining might be this triumph of PR might be so antithetical to the original intent of the BCS might blow the whole system up.

We can only hope.

And UGA winning, then Bama & LSU still playing for the Crystal Football, would really seal the deal.

Worse shit has happened, like Oklahoma getting boat raced by Kansas State in the Big 12 game and still making the MNC game.

I think it is time to discuss Bowl projections.
I see Michigan State/Georgia and South Carolina/Nebraska being paired up together in most projections. The most likely scenario being the Husker/Gamecocks game being played in the Capital One Bowl.
I don't see UCLA trying to get an exemption to play in a third tier bowl with a losing record, but they might if no other bowl eligible teams are left to fill their spot.
I'm also disappointed that NFL Football on Sunday precludes me from watching all of the bowl games being played during the day on January 2nd.

If that Tech/WVU game becomes a reality, it will be huuuge for both teams. There was a crazy rivalry at one time but with VT jetting to ACC, it died.

So MSU/UGA would be in the Cotton Bowl? I'm ok with that I guess.

That scenario has it in the Outback not the Cotton. Still, 90% of those games are BLECHVILLE.

The college post-season is just one giant case of blue balls.

I mean, OSU vs UF, both teams 6-6, are projected to play in one of the traditional January 1 bowls???? Traveshamockery.

Forget it, Derris, it's CFB-town. Nothing that happens after Conference Championship Saturday makes a lick of sense.

I still say, if Georgia pulls the miracle & wins, to have two teams in the National Championship game, Alabama & LSU, neither of which would have been its conference champion, will be ridiculous.

& to those who would say, such a thing could happen in a playoff, as happens in the NCAA basketball tourney, where two non-champions of their conferences will face-off in the final -- well, that's the point: it's a playoff. College football, at the major college level, is just the whim of a motley crew of collegiate sport grandees (the Harris Poll), statisticians (the computer polls), & conference rep.

To wit: if LSU should lose in Atlanta, I say we should just do the F*** It National Championship & put Houston (assuming THEY remain undefeated) against Oklahoma State (assuming victory in Bedlam). Houston would be the only unbeaten -- FT's suggestion of the Cougars's status as weakest unbeaten ever be damned -- & OSU the only team without a loss to a putative national title contender (the Iowa State game being a fluke that could befall anyone, though with the additional factor of the Cowboys athletic dept reeling from the plane-crash that felled the women's basketball coach & recruiting coordinator). Plus, the final score would prolly be something like 77-74, in regulation.

I'll tell you what, UGA winning and LSU NOT playing for the Crystal Football would be a travesty. Does everyone actually realize how unfair the position Bama is in is? They're sitting home this weekend with a BCSNCG berth "supposedly" sewn up, while LSU has to go and play a very tough game against UGA with the chance of injury, or, even worse, taking a loss that would have people like monty claiming that they don't deserve to go to the championship game. This LSU's reward for beating Bama in the regular season.
