What bands you into?

better?

Slightly, but a) I never PM'ed her and b) everyone knows I am a homophobe christian who is afraid of girls so PMing girls and even mentioning anything that has to do with the butt is just downright implausible.

But encouraging me to post PMs about any sort of perverted material is perfectly christian, right?

no one's perfect, bub. Not even christians. But, my post was loaded with sarcasm, in case it was soaking in it enough for your comprehension.

Sarcasm? Could've fooled me.

Then again, any mention of christianity just sort of puts me on tilt

the clues of sarcasm should have been keywords and phrases like homophobe, afraid of girls, etc.

Even if I was afraid of the gays, I doubt I would refer to myself as a homophobe. And Stacey can attest to the fact that I am not afraid of girls. :)

I suppose it would've helped if

a) I knew who the hell you were
b) there weren't other people on this board who are actual girl-fearing homophobic christians

Take Melissa, for example. She's a god fearing christian who will strike down any girl who looks sideways at her.

Warrensburg is about 45 minutes away from beautiful Lenexa, Ks. Terra if you're into old married guys you could be in for a real treat. j/k, of course. And no, I'm not afraid of girls, just afraid of the one if she found out I messed up. Then again, I might actually be afraid of girls with nose rings, especially if they have a cold : )

At any rate, welcome to the bored. Les' see, you've been here a day and already have nearly as many posts as I do. Guess I need more one word posts to really jack that number up.

Dalen, not much is gonna help my record label at this point. It's all but completely dead.

I can't give away the records anymore. I know OPA would say it's because all the bands suck :), but that's not really the reason. All the reviews are positive. People still like the bands and like the music. It's like Bruce at Not Lame says...the boutique record label is a dying concept. The market is way too saturated these days and it's impossible to carve out enough of a niche with day jobber bands to get really enough of a notice to make a splash.

Still, I'll continue to fund it with my poker bankroll until I spend the rest of it. Should be sometime in 2008 or so.

Anyway, I'm not gonna bring this thread down :)

I'm happy with what I've done and I have no regrets whatsoever.

i think indie labels have to do something more to get noticed nowadays. like finding creative and inventive artists that will influence music, and not artists that follow music.

Type, Rune Grammofon, Important, Morr, and the like are labels i'm referring to.

best of luck. i don't like seeing indie labels die.

thanks, man

I'm going to continue to do the best I can. I hear you with finding more inventive and influential artists, but I've never been on the cutting edge as far as that goes, and I think the most important criteria I have to stick to is believing 100% in the artists and the music they create
