I'm sick so i'm not planning on getting into much besides some really bad horror films I got from netflix today.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (The Beginning)
Child's Play II (I watched the first one a few days ago)

Arachnophobia - This will be my first time watching this. Any good?

i don't think i've seen arachnophobia since it came out but i remember it being decent for a commercial movie.

saw Gimmie Shelter for the first time...great doc. Really cool look at the Stones during a crazy crazy time. I knew that dude in the green pimp suit was trouble the first time I saw him in the footage.

I watched "House of 1000 Corpses" and "Sex and the City" (well, the first half - I fell asleep) last night. I don't know what was scarier - Rob Zombie's Firefly family or the ladies of SATC.

Saw Burn After Reading with the gf last Friday. The script was a little thin and didn't really hit the jokes for the most part, but it had the Coen's sensibility and was a good way to spend a rainy Friday night. I think my gf liked it more than I did since it's a quirkier movie than she is used to. 7/10

Season of the Witch- George A. Romero.

got it for four dollars, thank god. it was pretty terrible. the actors were annoying, the editing was awful, the ending left you not knowing what the fuck happened (which wasn't different from any other part of the film) and it ended very abruptly, with no credits, even.. i think it was one of his earlier films.

kinda sucked.

on the other hand.. watched Biozombie kind of recently, and it was awesome.

also just got a lot of troma and other sweet horror films in the past couple of weeks that i'm getting ready to watch.

I watched Fido and The Signal last night - both were great. Tonight, after I drink myself down from the debate, I have American Gangster, There Will Be Blood, and Assassination of Jesse James . . .

No work tomorrow, so, yeah, probably. real late. But I haven't run out of the beers yet.

A whole bunch of Jack Nicholson films on Showtime tonight. Just caught Hoffa (aimlessly directed by Danny DeVito and almost entirely un-followable but damn if Jack Nicholson didn't save this one himself. Man can almost do no wrong).

The Last Tycoon is up next.

I really fucking liked Jesse James. I loved how slow it was. Brad Pitt is a really good actor that just doesn't get his due because of his ridiculous celebrity / whatever status.

Nick Cave popping up was a little bit silly tho.

Stripes just came on TV1. I don't know why I didn't get cable earlier than last week...

The rest of the psychos in this country only have a choice of 5 channels, one which is primarily (assorted) foreign-language.
