Didn't watch much of it, but congrats to the Falcs. Needless to say, I'm ready for a fresh start with the Panthers. New coach, new staff, and hopefully a franchise player with the #1 pick. C'mon down Andrew Luck? (though I hear maybe he won't be coming out).

as for brady, he's the best the league has ever seen.

This raised my eyebrow.

If i hadda win one game on a neutral field, I'm still going to war with Montana, but I think Brady has entered the conversation and is undoubtedly Top 5 of all time. A lot of that talk is dependant on who you watched growing up (sorta like music actually)

Statistically speaking, I don't know if Brady would be in the top 5. I think the top 5 in the modern era currently is something like Unitas, Montana, Tarkenton, Marino and Elway. I mean, dang think about all the great QBs of the last 30 years even--Farve, Moon, Young, Manning...

Its funny because statistically Aikman and Brady are fairly close after the same amount of years. Brady has the edge though in a few categories like total yardage. Plus Brady has 1 more SB. But my point is, how many people would pick Aikman in the top 5 OAt? In my mind, Brady is great, don't get me wrong. But he isn't a top 5'er yet.

some numbers to throw out from this year from mike reiss...

Tying record for fewest interceptions. With just five interceptions this season, the Patriots tie the NFL mark for fewest interceptions in a single season. The 1960 Browns, 1966 Packers, 1990 Chiefs and 1990 Giants were the other teams with just five interceptions.

Brady extends record of 2 TD/0 INT games. Quarterback Tom Brady extended his own NFL record by throwing at least two touchdown passes without an interception in each of the past nine games. Brady passed Don Mereditch's previous record of six straight games with two or more touchdowns and no interceptions (1965-66).

Brady just 6th quarterback to throw TD pass in each contest of 16-game season. Tom Brady threw at least one touchdown pass in each game during the regular season, becoming just the sixth player to do so in a 16-game season. The others are Daunte Culpepper (Vikings, 2004), Brett Favre (Packers, 2003), Kurt Warner (Rams, 1999), Dan Marino (Dolphins, 1984 & 1986) and Dave Krieg (Seahawks, 1984).

Brady extends own record without an interception. Tom Brady extended his NFL-record interception-free streak to 335 consecutive pass attempts. Brady eclipsed Bernie Kosar's previous record of 308 attempts without an interception last week in Buffalo.

brady is this year's clear mvp, regardless of vick's so-called "feel-good" comeback season

Since we're talking milestones with Brady, can we at least mention that Ray Rice hasn't fumbled all season long with over 370some touches (rush/rec)?

Speaking of Ravens, I'm definitely with the majority of people who are wiping their brow that we're going to KC instead of Indy. We just haven't been good versus the Irsays. Also, the seeding system is really screwed up. Of course I'm only pontificating on this because we were 12-4 and got the 5 seed and no home-field advantage.

Yeah? Tell that to the Giants and Bucs as they watch the 7-9 Seahawks play next weekend.

I did see that Philip Rivers led the league in passing yards with 4700+ despite having a makeshift WR crew most of the year, so that's pretty cool.

And Carson Palmer hasn't fumbled it since his last touch....I felt like I was watching a Peanuts football special. If I were the Ravens, I would be scared of almost losing (probably should have lost) to the Bungals.

I applaud your sense of hometown spirit, but the fact is the Ravens never play well against the Bengals. Everyone knew that going in, and no one is splitting hairs on it after the fact. Trust me, we're not scared.

No doubt. Definitely 2 teams that should be making a semi-stink. Glad they didn't fire Coughlin over that issue.

At least you're not 11-5 (could have been 12-4 if yesterday's game mattered but who's to says) and traveling to 7-9 Seattle.

Speaking of Seattle, last night's game was the most watched last game of the regular season in 10 years.

The Law Firm definitely helped me win one of my FFB leagues, thanks to this and his greater involvement in the offense in the latter part of the season.

Haha, not to start a peeing contest but Ray Rice almost had more touches this year alone than Mr. Green-Ellis has had in his entire career.

307 att for Ray Rice in 2010
329 att for BenJarvus career.

Jus' sayin' :D

You know this is gonna go on until we meet again in the playoffs, haha.

I wanted a full-on bow, haha. Nah, I want a Pats/Ravens AFC championship almost more than a Steelers/Ravens championship. I want retribution.

not a fan of the gatorade dump, but i really hate it for anything shy of a championship. Although I guess it's nice to give an owner the drink. So that's nice.

Hey, part of the reason that you are 11-5 is because you were scheduled against our crap assed division(Seattle). Having said that, I don't think that they should alter giving division winners a playoff birth, but they should probable adjust seeding based on record.

Having said all of this, as a season ticket holder I'm happy that I get to go to another playoff game after 2 years of no playoffs. Go Hawks!

Yeah, there was a lot of "only X wins, and x QB rating" -- not taking into acct era, opponents, team, etc and so on. I think Jim Kelly is underrated. Also, where was JoMo? :p

I hate the thought of re-seeding playoffs. The Saints didn't win their division, so do not automatically deserve a home game. End of story. To change the system now, after one abnormal year, would basically make the entire division system pointless. All the great inter-divisional rivalries would matter less, since overall record would be much more important than divisional performance. It would be like Baseball pre 1969.

Besides, I'd much rather have to travel to Seattle than host Tampa or the Giants. If you can't beat a 7-9 team in the playoffs, you beat yourself.
