Charlie Weis hired as new coach at Kansas. Is morbid obesity a prerequisite for a coach to win there?

I was just going to mention this. I can't really fathom why he'd take the job, besides the fact that he was an offensive coordinator for the Chiefs for a year. There are better jobs out there for him to take, and I wouldn't want to risk my future at a basketball school in a highly volatile conference.

I'm glad to have him gone from Muschamp's staff at Florida. Dude allegedly knows offense.

I thought this, too. Key is allegedly. Right place right time with Pats?

Curious how Harry and Bruin Nation are feeling about Jim "Great Interview" Mora?

I don't get it.

Green vomit-spitting rage? AD Dan Guerrero is microcephalic ninny. Things are not happy in Bruin Nation. They are already registering domains like firejimmora.com. The school with more national championships than any other is sliding into mediocrity. Other potential great hires? "He's just not that into you...." Mora says "UCLA is a sleeping giant." Whose AD hires some more Ambien.

FWIW, I've always thought Mora might be a good college coach--he has that Pete Carroll-esque thing where he likes to be be friends with the players and as Derris alluded to, dude has always won the interview by being incredibly prepared. Maybe this is the job where he puts it all together.

He was his typical smarmy asshole self doing color on the Falcons-Panthers game on Fox today. My favorite quote, "I coached in this division for a long time so I know the intensity of this rivalry"

Um, three years isn't a long time, chief.

The funny thing they pretty much ran the other morbidly obese big fat coach because he was so fucking fat they didn't like the way he presented - and then they go hire the one dude with man titties bigger than Parcells even.

WVU fans...as a after dinner comedy reading. Or to burn. One or the other.

There's still quite a bit of hostility for the man in 'Neer country.

Speaking of which, was going through some old clothes for our annual closet clean-out, and my wife comes across my old "Va Tech sucks, Pitt blows" shirt and tries to pitch it. She's like, "you're not gonna wear that anymore". She was talking about the political correctness surrounding the shootings, I took it to mean the conference shift. Bummer either way. Its now safely in the bottom of my dresser--there could be a future bowl game.

Loving the fact that the big "neck" O lineman from Bama said that it's not a revenge game, but a game to "restore order". GMAFB

After moving the New Years Day bowls and being dictated to by it's Pimp Television in general, how sponsors put up with having not two but THREE bowls on at the same damn time is ridiculous.

My last rant on that.

PREPARE TO FEEL THE PAIN CHAD!!!!

Looks like we got a good crew though. Tirico and Gruden.

So far so good, with a slight exception for a blocked PAT and some weak run defense.
I'd really like to stick it to Spurrier again, and win one for the Big Ten today.

A couple of turnovers and a fist fight later, it looks like the Huskers are struggling late in the game.
I wouldn't have thought Nebraska would lose a bowl game where they lead the rushing battle.
I'd hold out hope for improvement next season, but they are going to have a small recruiting class and desperately need some playmakers on both sides of the ball to win these sort of games.
