Nebraska had 8 turnovers today and lost to Iowa State at home for the first time since 1977. I wouldn't want to be an Offensive Coach for the Huskers, those guys better be calling moving vans soon.
I guess I'll to wait until next year for another football season. This one is going to end badly, even if we rally and win the Big 12 North somehow.

Pro,

The Big 12 North looks like hot garbage. K-state?

UW gets dominated by the Zeros for the 6th straight year. I really thought they would at least cover.

I like the direction Sarkisian is taking them but the last two weeks were tough to watch, with some egregious coaching errors.

I guess if I have to choose between Nebraska playing Arkansas in Shreveport or not being bowl eligible, I might go with not being bowl eligible this time around.

Georgia: Chic Fil A or Shreveport?

Shreveport is a hell hole. I have said it before around here, but it reminds me of the alternate-reality in Back to the Future II where Biff is the casino boss. And, it smells like sulfur all the time, is a port town, and is in middle/west Louisiana. DO NOT WANT.

(Although I bet somewhere circa 2002-2003 the Yail Bloor-Rick Derris-LooGAR-Busty Rhodes 4 Horsemen style Georgia Wrecking Crew could have had some fiendishly seedy adventures there.)

I'm glad I just went to Phil and D's place last night to watch the MSU/Iowa game instead of going to a bar like I'd initially planned. A DUI most certainly would've happened.

Sam Bradford opts for surgery and the NFL Draft.
Smart decision.

The final score of the Bama - LSU game may be 3-0. I can't wait to see what the over under will be on that.

strange game. first half was played pretty evenly but then UW came out in the 2nd half and looked really flat and played pretty uninspired ball...plus Locker started falling apart.

Locker started falling apart.

Yeah, Locker did not play very well. He appears to be in limbo--his natural skills are as a running QB but Sark is trying to mold him into a prototypical pro-style pocket passer, for which he has shown flashes of brilliance. But then there are times when he flames out. There has to be a happy medium.

I'm wondering if much of the NFL draft punditry listing him as the #1 QB off the board for the 2010 draft is not distracting him. He could definitely benefit from another year in college, but if he's a guaranteed top 10 pick, I couldn't blame him for bolting, especially given UW's prospects for the 2010 season.

heisman should be pretty wide open at this point

bradford is out with injury

mccoy has been lackluster, despite longhorns remaining undefeated

tebow has been good, but not great, and it will take more than great to win it back-to-back

so, who does that leave?

161.3 QB rating (#2 in the nation)
2,050 passing yards (#12)
16 TD (#7), 2 INT
65.2 completion percentage (#17)
8.9 YPA (#9)

that would be...JIMMY!

Uhhh, Bradford took it home last year dude.

Not that I ever (prior to now) go around regurgitating what Rick Reilly spouts, but (Flint's own) Mark Ingram down at 'Bama deserves some run.

1,001 yards (6.6/carry) with 8 TDs
186 receiving yards, 3 TDs
ZERO fumbles

This is my top five, based on both hype and stats.

1. Mark Ingram
2. Tony Pike (If he misses another game he'll be out)
3. Toby Gerhart
4. Ndamukong Suh
5. Terrence Cody

I know Tebow, McCoy and probably Clausen will make the final cut, so I sort of wish Ingram and one of the Defensive Line stars make the list too.
