I think splates has the right idea for today. Some white russians and Scarface sound like a good idea. Have watched The Aviator today, which was pretty good and Batman Begins which was very good.

I don't know what's wrong with me. This stupid cough that I've had for almost four weeks keeps nagging my body. I took some medicine and slept almost the entire day. Am feeling completely out of it and unable to attend the Nada Surf / Say Hi To Your Mom show tonight.

i'm feeling a bit under the weather as well.

in fact, several of my friends are. so we rescheduled 'scary movie night' until next weekend.


right now i can barely keep my eyes open. i think i might go to bed a bit early.

huh. I too was feeling blah today and my friend canceled and I was gonna cancel with her anyways cause I'm on baby call, meaning ex and wife are due any minute so if she goes into labor, my son who is with them for the weekend will be dropped off at my place at any given time of day.

I've done chinese food, read quite a bit, watched the game in between episodes of Charmed season 2 disc 1 courtesy of Netflix, had two beers and now i'm bored and tired and husband is out with the band and well fuck it, I don't know whether to have another beer and watch a movie or go to bed and read.

Plus I can't get the temp right in this place, I've been bad with the thermostat all night.

i'm refusing to turn the furnace on yet.....so i just loaded up my bed with my sleeping bag and several other thicker blankets. i think i'm just going to climb in and watch snl until i doze off.

i was actually productive today. i went to the work in the am. i was only going to go in for an hour but stayed 4 hours.

then i went grocery shopping and to 2 other stores. made brunch for some friends. and took an hour nap.

Hell I too went grocery shopping and other shopping at Target. Then I cleaned this place for 2 1/2 hours.

My friend/co-worker came by for dinner at least and remarked" WOW this place is really clean tonight" I didn't know if I should slap or not.

Then again usually she's been here after my son's here so yeah, well mess resides then.

Good on it. Now you shall host this immediately - erm, the weekend immediate to, anyway - before Halloween. It should prove riper for fright, then.

And cheers on an hour and an half nap. Napping is good. Especially after sex and cuddling, falling to slumber in her arms...

... Lastly, no furnace 'til December for me, if I can help it. (My roommates might intervene.) But I like to keep the 'stat - that's thermostat - at 68 fahrenheit (20 celsius).

So, good on ye for that refusal to fire it up, thus far.

even when i do turn the furnace on...i set it for 62. 65 if i'm REALLY cold. but i refuse to go higher than that.

i live in this ridiculously drafty old house and i already pay an arm and a leg to freeze all winter. to adequately warm this place would break me.

This is why the Amish make quilts, why your grandma crocheted so many pairs of toasty socks and slippers...

I cover up at nite in bed-clothes - comforters, and such - and am clothed during the day.

No naked subway riding for me.

No wonder I didn't see you last night.... don't worry though, you didn't miss much. Apparently we missed Say Hi To Your Mom even though Rian lives around the corner from the El Rey but she lags like crazy. Nada Surf was okay- nothing mindblowing and they did a cover of "Love Will Tear Us Apart" which I bet had Ian Curtis rolling around in his grave. People were into the show, but for some reason I wasn't feeling it last night.
