Never done it, never will. Too dangerous -- one risks permanent damage.
Hmmm...so, following this logic would rule out a large percentage of daily human activity. Ever ride in or drive a car?
Well, the risk is much higher. I have a friend who's read a lot of important work in this area (the studying of recreational drugs is his livelihood), and in his circle of knowledge, it's common knowledge that the effects of LSD are permanent. I'll see if I can get some sources from him, but what I've gleaned off of him (second hand knowledge -- therefore thirdhand to you) is that it could be your first dose, or your 37th, you just don't know, but you could be hallucinating for the rest of your life. Quite frankly, I don't trust myself not to become a non-contributing member of a society if that happened to me. I'm sure there are other people who could handle it, but I doubt it's any of you.
I'm long past my 37th car-ride, though -- the odds are with me.
Alright, just for the record, I'm full of shit. Acid gets fully metabolized within like a day. It could bring out a latent psychosis, but the permanently tripping part is bullshit. The comment about it being a very personal experience and how you go into it being important is pretty accurate, apparently.
