I should say that I don't want to force anyone into hosting something, but if anything happens organically then I'm cool with meeting up.

We were in the presence of an Obner and didn't even know it.

Phil and I were at that t model ford instore.

I didnt actually make it to Antone's for the T Model show, was running a bit late...
Mrs Bea's had an ok line up last night. Got there about 8 and caught about 2 hours worth of music. White Denim finished things off and played a pretty damned entertaining set. They gave out a couple of handouts last night - one was the lineup at Mrs Bea's, and the other was the Showpaper [listing all free/diy/all ages shows in town] - which doesnt seem like much, but both of them had original Pettibon pieces on the cover. Pretty badass.
Today I'll be checking out Pocahaunted at 5 but that's my only definite so far.

edit: Oh yeh, Colin, we rode by Beauty Bar around 8pm on our way east and holy fuck that place was already packed to the gills. What the hell do they put in the drinks over there, roofies?

One of the bands I book, WAX FANG, is playing their 3rd consecutive SXSW. The BBC, Cory @ Absolutely Kosher and a guy from EMI UK were digging them yesterday.

They were named one of the Top 5 "unsigned" bands to watch at this year's SXSW in the SXSW Insider e-mail blast.

They've played a few gigs already, but here's what's left:

Friday - 6:00PM
Gueroâ€™s (1412 S Congress Ave) - The Boxing Lesson SXSW Day Party

Saturday - 1:00PM

bummd i missed the show @ rancho last night, phil, had every intention of going but got sucked into the vortex of too many people heading off in another direction. did end up seeing wild beasts, though, who were great and really nice guys to boot.
may swing by the typewriter museum but also planning on heading off to mrs bea's for the afternoon, i think, so i'll be right over there.
ahh, who knows.
free show on the ped bridge tonight after 2am with vivan girls and a few others. stopped by there around 3am this morning and caught graffiti monsters [i think that was their name].

I'll likely be watching Hard Lessons tonight at Soho Lounge (217 E 6th St) at 12 am. I might even go earlier than that because I noticed "That 1 Guy" is on at 9:00, and he has some pretty fucked up shows.

On to the final day. I'm feeling pretty good thus far. Haven't gone bonkers seeing shows the entire time but have still had a killer time.

Our coverage has been as close to comprehensive and all-encompassing as you can probably get without employing an army of Twitter-enabled zombies. We're trying to budget that for next year.
