Mostly agree, except Malone was strictly a PF and Robinson was better than Walton. Oh, and Wilt/Russell have to be 1a and 1b, with all due respect to the great Kareem/Hakeem at 2a and 2b. I'd say those four really have a big gap before you get to Shaq and Robinson.

No shit. Russell takes back seat to NO ONE.

Dude AVERAGED 22 rebs for a career and was possibly the best shot blocker of all time when they didn't even record that statistic.

Also, more rings than anyone.

Truth be told, Russell should be ahead of Wilt, if anything, seeing how he was half-a-foot shorter and played him to a standstill throughout their careers while piling up the championships.

He's #3 on my list.... offense, he scored, but didn't have spectacular offensive moves... and it was more than "he didn't have to score because of Jones and Hav and the rest", he didn't have a great offensive game....

Jesus Christ harry, you're more delusional about the Lakers than Bob is with Notre Dame.

Jerry West and Elgin Baylor on my wall as a kid.

But honestly now, it's only a little over the line... the Lakers were and are exceptional.

Mostly agree, except Malone was strictly a PF .

I would assume he meant Moses not Karl.

I kinda agree with Harry on this one by player skill set and numbers I think Kareem is second only to MJ. As far as the greatest player to ever play in the NBA. Real Talk

I grow up watching Magic. As a kid he was my fav player. I cried when he retired! But you are so wrong.

I respectfully disagree. I believe Jerry West is the Greatest Laker if you look at everything he has done for the franchise. Kareem Abdul Jabbar is the greater basketball player to ever don a Laker uniform.

I think you're correct on both counts.

but Rick Fox so embodies that smuggy bullshit attitude that I associate with the Lakers and their fains (except you, Irwin M Fletcher). and Magic has AIDS.

so they win.

I'm the last person on this board that you need to post a link to stats for.

Copied from another board but I got a kick out of it...

Quote:
Hard to ask for more from game #1
Beat the Pacers by 11
Put 120 on the board
30 assists vs. only 10 turnovers
16 steals on defense mostly due to hustle
Atone for some shaky halfcourt defense with a lockdown 4th quarter
6 players in double figures
Al Horford 24 and 16
Josh Smith 18 points, 8 assists, 5 steals and ZERO THREE POINT SHOTS ATTEMPTED
No starter played more than 39 minutes
All 5 bench players played at least 10 minutes
Total turnovers in the game by those 5 bench players - ZERO. (that's "fact of the day" material right there)
Rookie PG with 4 assists in 14 minutes, and he looked like he "belonged" if that makes any sense

Pretty much a perfect outcome.

The best news is J Smoove not attempting any threes.

Gasol plays much better when he's at center.

And Bill Russell is the greatest player of all time. In any sport.

And while that notion is arguable, the fact that he is the greatest sporting mind, is much harder to debate...

I agree there. We'll see what they can do against the Magic tonight. I'm just hoping they can stay in the game until the 4th quarter.
