More posters would be a good start. Hipinion thrives due to sheer volume, not due to consistently great content.

I think that it's really easy to ignore something that you download. When I do download I mix I'm usually doing it for a few specific songs and not really listening to it all together in one sitting very often. Also since it was so easy to get/make I'm less inclined to review it or take it seriously.

alright, the 2010 (or TWENTYTEN) thread is rolling. when you hear something new this year that you dig, post it in there, that way we can have all the new releases together, and nothing gets lost in the mix.

This is actually a great idea, minus the CD part. I think if each participant only received one mix, and it was made very clear that writing a review is mandatory in order to participate, this could work.

i actually think this is one of the reason the board is slower. there are different means for us to communicate. that being said, i'm obsessively on both, but i don't start threads either.
