Yeah, you have to be pretty foolish to tell Obama to fuck off for getting Bin Laden and being happy about it. It's a great thing for America (although I'm not so naive to think the terrorists will just all pack up and get real jobs now). Why make it political? Generally speaking, I think Obama sucks, but I have to say "Job well done" (for what part he had in it as CIC), especially after the Clinton and Bush administrations had opportunities and didn't come through.

Email I got today from one of the kids at the PRT I was assigned to last year. Kid is a mess, but probably the best truck driver I've ever seen. Bin Laden knocked Wills' poop shoe out of the top spot--if that doesn't show how important this is, I don't know what will.

But I honestly can't understand the immediate politicizing of this. Fuck, people just enjoy it. In my mind, credit goes to:

1) The dude who pulled the trigger
2) The seal team
3) The guy that tracked down the courier
4) Obama AND Bush almost equally or close enough that I don't feel compelled to split hairs.

In all honesty, the truly amazing thing is how much went into this. This is truly 10 years in the making with so many people deserving credit. Started with a seed of intel from Gitmo under Bush's policies and snowballed into Obama pulling out his gigantic balls and making the decision with probably hundreds of people intervening in between. Then, it comes down to the execution of the badass Navy seal team 6.

I'm beyond pumped about it.
