I've lived near or in Indianapolis for all 27 years of my life and went to the 500 for the first time on Sunday. It was fun. It's amazing how many hicks can gather in one place.

Danica did well, 4th place. She's not nearly as good looking when she's sitting in the car with her helmet on.

I haven't read the rest of this thread so excuse me if I've repeated others.

I was going to stay out of this, but Capt. Indie (from Indy) had to bring out the Confederate Battle Flag and the potbellied jeans short wearing gar fan.

I've been to Indiana, and I know a bit about Indiana, and I seem to remember that the KKK was the driving force in Indiana politics for many years...so it's not like you guys are out of the woods on all of that type of speak.

Seriously, if we want to start painting all people from certain regions in certain ways, I can go more bucky than y'all ever could, remember, I've actually BEEN to most of the places I talk ish about.

Course that more than just a potbelly.

We've got them big fellahs obsessed by a particular sport here, too.
There's not an unusual concentration of them in the South.

And you only have to go to any urban sporting event to see plenty of painted obese superfans that aren't the least bit sub-Virginian.

I'm positive nearly all of the people I saw were from here. I wasn't saying they were coming from all over the country for the race or something, they STAYED in Indiana for the race. They just all hung out around the track. I may be totally misunderstanding you, I didn't mean to offend if that's what you're saying. Indiana does have an ebarrassing history with the KKK so I'm by no means trying to imply that this state is devoid of hicks.

Anyway, I wasn't referring to everyone at the race, just those I walked by in the campgrounds surrounding the event.
