Is it dropping there as much as it is here in Texas? On our drive back to Dallas from San Antonio the other day, we pulled into the Czech Stop in West, Texas for a few genuine kolaches and some $1.53 a gallon action.

SWEET!

I think it's around $1.85 at the gas station near me.

I just went through my expenses on Microsoft Money and from when I started keeping track of shit in the middle of May I have spent $586 on gas. Nevermind the $1000 child tax credit, how about a few hundred to help out us folk paying out the ass for gasoline?

I live across the street from a gas station. The sign says $1.89, which is pretty indicative of the entire valley in which I live.

We're typically hovering around the $2 mark around Chicago - it's more expensive in the snotty rich areas, and slightly cheaper in other places.

$2.09 / regular unleaded in Southern California, more expensive in West Hollywood. If I'm really lucky, I might find it for $1.99 / $2.01 in my local neighbourhood.

It's about 70 cents a litre. I'm shocked that it actually went down during the holiday season.

$1.71, yet where I work about 15 miles away is consistently a dime higher.

1.739 in my particular neck of the woods (Laurel, MD), which happens to be particularly cheap for the overall DC area, which is more like 1.839, but I paid 1.719 the other day, after driving like 30 miles to get there (had to drive the 30 miles anyway, but I made it doubly worth my while).

Here in KC it's about $1.53 at Costco, & 10-12 cents more everywhere else.

Normally, it's 79p a liter -> $5.71 a gallon

This is why I found American complaints about gas prices so extremely funny the past 2.5 years.

I agree... people here don't understand how lucky they are to get gas for under $2 a gallon. Christ, thats still cheaper than a gallon of milk!

Of course, since we allowed our public transport systems to fall apart (where they even existed outside our major metropolises) we have no choice but drive everywhere.

Now you have my attention....

My mom is half Polish/half Bohemian, so I grew up on these things. It doesn't get much better than a fresh kolache. Damn, I haven't had one in years.
