Anyone pick it up? What do you think? I pre-ordered it, but it didn't come today. So hopefully it'll come tomorrow on my semi-day off. I've heard a lot of critcism of the new "passing cone" thing, but I'm kinda looking forward to trying it. I'll post again once I receive the damn game in the mail.

i'll definitely pick it up when funds become available.

i will say that it doesn't bode well for my man D. McNabb. it seams that EA has gone the way of SI with the dreaded cover curse. Two years ago Vick is on the cover and he goes down for the year. Last year Ray Lewis graces the cover and his team failed to maek it to the playoffs. Go Eagles!

Supposedly a gene pool deal when creating players, and the vision cone thing for passing.

I've NCAA '04 and Madden '04, and have been uploading my senior classes, so I'm not migrating to the new game.

i've bought the last 3 or 4 games, but for some reason i'm just not interested in this anymore, though my interest for football in general is still climbing. as a hardcore fan of the game i always defended the little additions each year as reasons why the game is worth buying every year but i've recently changed that opinion. they're all the same.

it's scarey to think that Madden '95 is eleven years old now! That game ruled.

I had Madden '92 for the Sega Genesis back in the day.

I have Madden '05 but can't decide if it's worth getting the new one. What's this gene pool thing you speak of? If there are lots of new features I might buy it but if it's just like last year's but with accurate players/team combos I'll probably pass.

I recall reading somewhere that you could select hereditary traits when you use the "Create Player" function--the abilities would have some element of chance into how the player "grew up", rather than just inputting ability scores.

The "Superstar" mode. To quickly describe it from what I"ve heard, since I still haven't got the damn game... It's like owner mode, only you take control over the career of one player. A created player I'm assuming. You choose his agent, you prepare for the draft and try to get as high as possible. That sort of thing. Sounds pretty neat to me.

Too busy this week to play, but I'll pick it up Friday, and (probably) do absolutely nothing else for the entire weekend...

My girlfriend just told me she has some friends coming up this weekend for a girl's night on Saturday. With many of my friends out of town, there's a very strong possibility I'll be picking up Madden 2K6 and playing it for several hours.

Or I might just read.

I remember Jim Jeffcoat and Stacy Mack. This must be the Bills vs. Jaguars.
