I had to turn off the avatars since there is like a bazillion threads I couldn't open.

I've had avatars disabled for months now.

Maybe I'll find a new one today since I'm stuck covering an office shift and NOTHING IS HAPPENING.

I turned them off months ago too. You forget they were ever there after a while and it sure makes things faster.

Every once in a while, someone mentions an avatar, and I turn it back on.

It rarely lasts for more than a day, then I turn it back on again, until the next time someone mentions someone's avatar.
