Shitballs, I think Charter's here. The wife got pissed at the prices, had them cut service. Fuckity fuck, here he comes, too.

Farewell, sweet world...

jeez, the least she could have done was line something else up befoer doing that.

You'll survive though, I've discovered the last few months that being internetless for a few days can actually be a nice thing.

Cya. I'll be right behind you in internet oblivion.

I have a month left before it gets cut off saving me $2000 over the period of my degree course. I have to say it's a quite terrifying prospect. No blowing a fortune on Amazon, no easy e-mail access, no chatting to hot girls from Seattle, nothing to do when I can't sleep (which is about 50% of the time).

Enjoy me while you can. The end is nigh.

Don't Glaswegian universities have internet access in the libraries?

What about 'net cafes?

Yes but when I'm at University I'll be staying clear of the internet for the most part.

All my old school report cards say 'Darrin is very easily distracted' and since this is costing me £20,000 I can't afford to get distracted this time. No disrespect to Obner but the time I spend here could be spent doing something much more productive.

I doubt I'll be able to make the break completely and still post here and there (I certainly intent to keep Konstantiranks going) but I'll be making a conscious effort to stay away from the internet and actually do some work for a change.

Kinda boring but I really need to concentrate and really push myself for once and this seems like the best time to do it.

To coin the famous Costanza phrase "it's not you, it's me".

I just spoke to the Cap'n on the phone. I think he is lonely without us.

Also, Busty Rhodes apparently seriously injured his eyeball but will be ok.

I think Cap'n's wife (his first mate, so to speak though I think it may be the other way around) is putting the screws to him.

UPDATE FROM THE INSIDE:

I'm sitting in the bidness school library, mid-way through day 1 of orientation (a 2-week process). ALL images are turned off, including damn smileys... fool me once, etc. Half the people seem to be stereotypical schmoozers, a quarter are sorta "undefined" darkhorse candidates who might turn out to be alright, and the other quarter (more than I thought!) are normal, nice people. I hate meeting people, though, so this is a painful 2 weeks, but I can endure it. And if I hear one more story about a surprising stock price or a "scored" laptop, I'm gonna get stabby. But so far, so good.

Still no intgernets at home, no prospects on the horizon. Have been productive.

The Deathcab album is a real grower. Doubters be warned.

I will have to purchase some sort of mp3 player in the VERY near future, as I am biking a good deal to/from school, and miss my wooby-like hard drive full of wonderful, free music.

So THIS is what it's like to go do stuff...
